Emilie Roberts is a hydrogeologist (MSc) with 11 years consultancy experience in water resource management and groundwater contamination assessment, both in the UK and South Africa. Her particular expertise are in wellfield management, including associated project management, sitework, data management / analysis and reporting.

Hannah Fraser - Founder

Hannah Fraser is the founder and director of H Fraser Consulting, and is a hydrogeologist (MSc) with significant expertise in groundwater science and land contamination. As well as delivering high quality consulting services, Hannah is interested in dissemination of skills and knowledge in our professional community, and also how our scientific expertise can be brought to bear on the wider environmental problems of flooding, climate change, and sustainable use of resources. Hannah is committed to building a company that treats people well, shares rewards and promotes maximum benefit to our communities and environment. She is a Chartered Geologist (CGeol), Specialist in Land Condition (SiLC), Suitably Qualified Person (SQP) and Qualified Person (QP) under the CL:AIRE DoW Code of Practice.

Joe Gomme

Job Titles:

Joe is a very experienced hydrogeologist and project manager, who has worked in roles for consultancy firms, government and non-government agencies for over 30 years. He has focused recently on risks to groundwater quality and the management of waste and soils, as well as continuing to provide support to overseas development projects in water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). Joe brings these technical skills to the business, alongside his extensive knowledge of project and programme management. Joe was attracted to H Fraser Consulting because of the companies strong ethical focus and the opportunity to contribute to a committed team of specialists who work to achieve the betterment of the wider environment and community, whilst delivering pragmatic solutions to clients' questions and problems. Joe is a Chartered Geologist (CGeol), Suitably Qualified Person (SQP) and Qualified Person (QP) under the CL:AIRE DoW Code of Practice. Outside work Joe loves to sing in a local choir, and engage in bird and butterfly surveying when the weather is right.

Juan Pablo Castaneda

Juan Pablo has 4 years of industry experience in South America and Europe working in drilling operations and reservoir geology and over 7 years of academic research experience in climate change of the past, stratigraphic modelling and geothermal energy. Juan Pablo loves coffee, chatting with friends, bicycle rides and mountain hikes.

Lisa Davies - Chief Commercial Officer

Lisa started out her career with Hannah over 18 years ago, having worked as a graduate hydrogeologist under Hannah's leadership. Lisa progressed as a Senior Consultant specialising in contaminated land and remediation, undertaking Phase 2 site investigations and detailed quantitative risk assessments across the UK. Lisa also worked on groundwater resource projects which included spending time working at a Water Company within their asset management team. In 2013 Lisa embarked on a new adventure, to set up a commercial desktop report and environmental mapping business, delivering insight on environmental risk and suitability for property development and infrastructure. Her consultancy background and passion for the environment ensured that the company maintained and developed its competitive position, developing and taking new products to market. Lisa loves problem solving and bringing people together. She has 3 small children who keep her very busy, but amazingly still finds time to play competitive netball and be a Governor at the local primary school.

Mary Vernon

Job Titles:

Mary has a background in hospitality, retail, and events. Throughout her career she has gained extensive experience working in administration, reception, and customer-facing roles. Since joining HFCL Mary's role has developed, and her time is mostly spent supporting the admin team with managing H&S & HR policies, internal documentation, implementing new software and systems, as well as office management duties. Mary has more recently started a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and is passing on her wisdom to the team during our ‘Wellbeing Wednesday" sessions. Mary is also our Mental Health First Aider. Mary is passionate about gardening, wildlife, food & drink. She is also a practising artist.

Roz Cox

Roz joins us as a Senior Consultant having almost 20 years of experience working in contaminated land, water and gas. She has been involved with a wide range of site investigations and remediation projects across the UK, Ireland, Portugal and New Zealand. Roz enjoys crunching data, GIS software and producing technical reports. She has recently gained qualifications in regenerative farming and permaculture, and is interested in biodynamic farming and nature based solutions. Roz is passionate about reading, killer sudoku, nature and gardening and can generally be found outdoors up a mountain or hanging out with her pet sheep.

Sally Bell-Fraser

Job Titles:
  • Finance and Administration Manager
Sally has been with our team since 2019, bringing over 12 years of experience from business and management roles in the retail and hospitality sectors. Her contributions as HFCL's Finance and Administrator in the company extend into general admin, finance, payroll, HR, project administration and H&S. Since joining the team Sally has become a fully Qualified level 2 Bookkeeper and trained Fire Warden. When unwinding at the weekends Sally enjoys getting creative with crochet hooks, attempting to train her mischievous budgies and chess matches with her husband.

Xenia Boyes

Xenia Boyes joined us fresh from graduate study at the California Institute of Technology, where she was awarded her Geology MSc. She came to us with extensive data handling, lab work, and field work experience and is applying her knowledge to a wide range of hydrogeology and land contamination projects. Xenia loves being outside (in almost all weathers!) and most weekends likes to head out into the hills with her mountain bike or walking boots.
