A E Housman poetically described the town in his Shropshire Lad with the words ‘High the vanes of Shrewsbury gleam Islanded in Severn stream' which perfectly encapsulates our special location. Our Regency shop-front, painted in our distinctive purple livery, stands between the vanes of the spires of the Churches of St Alkmund's and St Mary's.
