GREENE BOX DESIGN - Key Persons

Mark Occomore, MD, and the technical staff at Greene Box Design all come from a strong background in traditional architecture and luxury property development. Their experience and depth of technical knowledge allows them to provide the level of service the luxury housing market demands. Mark has twenty-five years experience in the industry. He started his career in architectural practice in the 1980's (Phippen, Randall and Parkes) whilst obtaining the relevant architectural qualifications and once qualified moved into the world of property development. He was a key member of staff in the formative years of Thirlstone Homes (now a subsidiary of Berkeley Homes) then in 1993 moved on to Octagon Developments Ltd., widely regarded as the premier luxury home builder in Surrey. It was Mark's responsibility to set up an in-house technical team to provide the technical services for the two industry renowned architectural designers Tony Taylor and Trevor Dunford. The drawing office then proceeded to grow and for the next thirteen years it was his responsibility as Technical Manager not only to provide the drawings but to coordinate a growing team of technical staff to provide construction information for some of the most complex and stunning luxury developments in and around Surrey and North London with some of the larger project values in excess of £50 million. Mark then moved away from Octagon seeking a more hands-on approach and opted to set up the Technical Department for the smaller but more bespoke company Heritage Period Properties. It was here that he re-discovered his passion for architectural solutions for this specialised luxury home market. Inspired, Mark set about creating his own company to offer the quality and level of service that he knew was desperately lacking for prestige home builders without their own internal technical department.
