Amy Goss

Amy qualified with BSc (Hons) from the University of Wales College of Medicine School of Physiotherapy in 2001. Since this time she has worked at several hospitals within the NHS, completing various roles with a variety of patients with neurological conditions. She has specialised in Neurology since 2003, when she moved to The Hillingdon Hospital to work as a Specialist Physiotherapist completing rotations in Neurology. Her responsibilities here included leading a number of clinics such as a Spasticity clinic and Orthotic clinic as part of the multi disciplinary team. Subsequent to this, Amy worked at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery for over five years gaining wide-ranging skills across many areas of Neurology in the UK's leading centre for Neurological care.

Claire qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire in 2000. She has worked in the West Midlands and London since 2000, specialising in neurology since 2002. Claire worked for five years at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, the UK's leading centre for the treatment and care of neurological patients. This has given Claire considerable knowledge and experience in rehabilitating clients with a range of complex conditions.

Joanna Camp

Jo qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of East London in 1996. She worked in London after graduating, specialising in Neurology since 1999. She worked for two years at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery before joining the now CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accredited National Spinal Injuries Centre Stoke Mandeville in 2002; where she continues to practice in adult spinal injuries rehabilitation. Jo has also undertaken numerous courses to continue developing and broadening her knowledge and clinical skills; including a Masters module on Injection Therapy using Botulinum Toxin, electrical stimulation and Bobath courses. Jo has a specialist interest in spasticity management, splinting, pain management and incomplete spinal cord injury and is keen to stay abreast of rehabilitation developments to enhance recovery and function, aiming to implement the latest evidence into her practice. Jo has co-authored two book chapters on the assessment and treatment of spinal cord injuries. She runs a ‘Splinting in Neurology' course and educates Physiotherapists at the National Spinal Injuries Centre in splinting and physiotherapy management of adults with spinal cord injury. Joanna organises and lectures on the Bridging the Gap course - ‘Physiotherapy Management of Complete Spinal Cord Injury'; which is a two module course presented by the Multi-disciplinary Team at Stoke Mandeville.

Tom Ward

Tom qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from King's College London in 2004. He completed his general band 5 rotations at the Royal Free Hospital before moving onto University College London Hospitals and Chelsea Westminster Hospital where he completed numerous band 6 rotations before deciding to specialise in Paediatric Physiotherapy. He is a full member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP), holds up-to-date Health and Care Professions Council registration (HCPC), and is a member of the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists (APCP). Tom has considerable experience working in Acute inpatients (Respiratory including ITU/HDU/wards, Neurology, Cardiothoracics, Orthopaedics (elective and trauma), Amputees, Medical Rehabilitation and Palliative Care and Oncology), Musculoskeletal outpatients, Community Adult and Paediatrics and also within a Special School for pupils with a range of severe learning and physical difficulties. Tom was a team lead and highly specialist paediatric and adolescent physiotherapist within the NHS until March 2015. He was responsible for the day to day running of the physiotherapy service at the Cheyne Child Development Centre at the Parkview Centre in Hammersmith and Fulham. Tom worked as autonomous practitioner providing specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment to his own caseload of community based and early intervention clinic (EIC) children. He was also responsible for the management of children and adolescents with complex long-term conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Muscular Atrophy and Duchene's Muscular Dystrophy as well as those with severe Neuro-Developmental Delay. Tom is used to collaborative working with all members of the multidisciplinary team. He has attended and actively participated in multidisciplinary assessments / reviews as well as Child in Need/ Safeguarding/Child Protection meetings. He also led and/or participated in paediatric and adolescent Orthotic, Gait Analysis and Neuro-Orthopaedic clinics. Tom's specialist clinical skills include splinting and casting, aquatic therapy, Bobath techniques and assessing the need for and provision of specialist equipment for the 24-hour management of posture and tone. Since April 2015, Tom has worked privately with children, adolescent and adult clients with long-term neurological impairments including Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke and Parkinson's Disease within their own home. He also works as a case manager where he uses his considerable clinical knowledge and experience in rehabilitation to holistically manage clients, both children and adults, with a range of severe and complex injuries such as Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Cerebral Palsy and severe Orthopaedic Injuries and Amputations. Tom is originally from Brighton although worked and lived in London for many years before moving to Berkhamsted in 2012. He has two children with his wife Hayley, and also a lively Cocker Spaniel which keeps him busy. Tom loves sports and continues to play 5-a-side football on a weekly basis.
