STEED CONSULTING - Key Persons

Janice Steed

Job Titles:
  • Coaches
  • Executive Coach and Supervisor
Janice Steed established Steed Consulting in 2007 after a long and successful career in the NHS as a midwife, senior leader and Board Director. As a midwife Janice realised the importance of using all her senses to be fully present and tune into the dynamics and needs of those she worked with. Janice has also had a life long passion for horses (currently owning one of her own), which has contributed to her thirst for understanding how we communicate and relate using all of ourselves, not just in the words we speak. In establishing Steed Consulting, Janice wanted to use this experience and understanding to underpin her work with clients. As such she undertook a master's degree in organisational change and post graduate qualification in executive coaching and supervision, both with Ashridge Business School and both based on practical application. Building a deeper understanding of the psychology, social construction, neuroscience, the impact of leadership, and, how emotional intelligence is of far greater importance in determining success of individuals, teams and organisations in the co-creation of positive culture and relationships Janice has added to her knowledge and skills being qualified in Myers Brigs Step 1&2, Emotional Intelligence Assessment, and Motivational Maps, to understand the personality preferences and motivators which inform differences and how to build emotional intelligence to become more effective and productive, valuing difference as opposed to it causing conflict. Janice also trained in Systemic Constellations, allowing her to understand and work with the dynamics we create together. As she did as a midwife, Janice now works alongside her clients, seeing herself as a facilitator in their journey of change and development, drawing on her knowledge and skills to put together bespoke packages of coaching, facilitation and consultancy support, including experiential scenario-based leadership development programmes. This may include drawing on her wide network of professional colleagues to meet specific needs. Steed Consulting is now thriving and providing support in the following areas
