MAB ECOLOGY - Key Persons


Alice Brown

Alice is a Consultant Ecologist for MAB and a Qualifying member of CIEEM. She is experienced in surveying for bats, having done so for a range of sites and developments, and holds a Natural England bat class survey licence. She is also experienced in habitat surveying using UKHab classification and undertaking associated assessments, such as PEAs, EcIAs, and Biodiversity Net Gain assessments using the Defra metric. Alice obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Ecology and Conservation, and a range of ecological and practical experience through volunteering with the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust prior to her time at MAB.

Jordan Brandrick

Job Titles:

Jordan joined MAB Ecology in October 2022 and is a Qualifying member of CIEEM since 2021. She graduated from her degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Durham in June 2022. During university, she specialised in Ecology and Conservation however has also completed modules of Plant and Algal Physiology and Animal Behaviour. Jordan has previously participated in data collection for the RSPB and has also surveyed birds via recording calls in the summer whilst at university for scientific studies. She also has experience in water vole surveys with Durham Wildlife Trust.

Rachel Boulton

Job Titles:
  • Assistant
Rachel is an Assistant Ecologist for MAB. She began working with MAB as a seasonal surveyor in May 2023 before taking on a new role in August 2023. She is also a Qualifying member of CIEEM. Rachel achieved a BSc (Hons) degree in Biology from the University of Stirling in June 2023. Her university course covered a wide range of modules, including, but not limited to: Animal Behaviour; Behavioural Ecology; Biodiversity; Plant Ecology; Conservation Biology; and Statistical Analysis. She is currently working towards her Natural England bat survey class license.
