Bas has had an interest in lighting since childhood. He worked at Philips (now Signify) in their early DMX days and travelled the world commissioning their 100+ universe projects. Bas has been working with Pharos controllers since 2008, and in 2015 started at Pharos. In his role as Commercial Director he is the main point of contact for larger customers and OEMs, and with his experience actively contributes to the development roadmap and strategic development.

Chad began his career in the theatre by earning a lighting design and production degree. He quickly turned toward lighting design and programming for themed environments, multi-media shows, and architectural projects. He discovered and utilized Pharos controllers beginning in 2012 while working on a series of permanently installed entertainment and fountain projects. Chad brings a diverse entertainment lighting background to Pharos and supports customers as Sales Manager for the Americas.

Chris is one of the Pharos co-founders, and has been the Managing Director since 2015. He is responsible for managing a growing international sales team, as well as overseeing and ensuring the successful day-to-day operations, logistics and finance functions of the company.

CJ has a degree in Lighting Design and has been a professional lighting designer across the Midwest United States and most recently in New York City. They also worked at Electronic Theatre Controls in both Technical Support and Technical Sales before freelancing as a lighting designer and board operator around NYC. CJ has loved lighting since childhood and is looking forward to supporting their team and customers!

Dan started at Pharos at the beginning of 2019, providing technical support for customers and the technical delivery of trade show stands. He has a background in theatre, film and television, and concert touring, specifically in control and network distribution.

Dominic joined Pharos Architectural Controls in August 2022 to provide technical support to customers and partners. He has a background in electrical engineering and audio-visual installations, working on projects in various locations worldwide. In his spare time, he plays the bass guitar for 80's melodic rock band Shaft of Steel and is an avid outdoorsman; when he's not solving support cases, he can be found hiking and climbing in the mountains.

Jack has a history in music/festival lighting, and a degree in Lighting Design. He's been involved with Pharos since October 2011, starting out as a support specialist and most recently working on the development of the Expert range and Pharos Cloud. In his current role as Senior Product Manager he manages the spec and feature roadmap of all Pharos products, as well as technical communications regarding them.

John joined Pharos in November 2023. He found his passion for lighting after studying technical theatre arts at RADA. He has worked in the theatre lighting industry for over 15 years as a lighting technician and programmer, most recently as a lighting supervisor at the Barbican Theatres in London. John is looking forward to working with such a great team and supporting Pharos customers.

Justyna joined Pharos in May 2022 as Sales Coordinator, leveraging her degree in Marketing to enhance customer interactions. With a keen eye for detail, she handles orders, lead times, and customer inquiries with precision and efficiency. Justyna's dedication to ensuring smooth transactions and excellent service contributes to Pharos' reputation for customer satisfaction.

Kate brings over 15 years of invaluable experience in QA automation to the Pharos Controls team. Joining our esteemed company in September 2023, Kate's expertise is matched by her passion for engineering excellence. With a master's degree in engineering under her belt, she embodies a deep understanding of our cutting-edge lighting control solutions.
Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor adventures, and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Katrina's love of musical theatre led her to study Lighting Design at college. She spent some time in NYC designing and working in small downtown theatres, moved to the DC area to work as the Assistant Master Electrician and console programmer for a regional theatre company, did a brief stint at University of Maryland's Performing Arts Center and then moved to Barbizon Capitol as Field Service Technician and ETC Authorized Service Provider, installing systems of all sizes, providing technical support, and training end-users.

Liz has over 30 years' experience in lighting, initially with regional and university producing theatres, then touring with Rambert Dance Company. She joined Pharos as Product Manager in 2005 after previously being in product management for entertainment controls at ETC. Now as Associate Product Manager Liz's focus is backstage, rather than customer-facing, supporting the Product team to deliver enhancements and new products across the Pharos portfolio.

Marc joined Pharos in November 2023. He has worked as a multi-disciplinary in-house designer within the higher education, architectural lighting and fashion sectors, among many others during his time at design agencies and as a freelancer. When not working on corporate briefs, you can find him trying his hand at sign-painting, sketching and photography.

Marco has a marketing degree and over 20 years experience in the technology sector. His career to date has been in Distribution, where he's had the unique opportunity of working with many of the world's best known consumer electronics brands. Marco joined Pharos Architectural Controls in 2021 as Marketing Manager with the specific aim of building the Pharos brand whilst helping the company achieve its growth targets. Away from Pharos he plays football and is a keen cyclist.

Marcus started his career working in UK regional theatre electrics departments and touring as a production electrician. He then changed direction slightly with a move into the manufacturing world by joining ETC. Here he worked on resolving site specific power and control distribution issues around the globe, as well as getting involved in product integration. Marcus then progressed to an electronic and software engineering role for ETC's subsidiary company RAYN Growing Systems, before joining Pharos as our Embedded Systems Engineer.

Mark joined Pharos in 2012 after many years of sales and distribution management experience working for well-known entertainment technology brands. Mark has spent his time at Pharos building a broad and robust network of Pharos partners, helping to provide sales and technical support for the Pharos product range, across a wide range of iconic and world class architectural projects.

Martin joined Pharos in the new Cambridge office in 2023 as a Lead Developer. With over 20 years of software development experience in FinTech, medical devices, display adapters, and virtual reality, he's helping define and develop the next generation of Pharos Hardware. Outside of Pharos, he can be found entertaining his children or at the cinema.

As Product Manager, Michael guides the development of Pharos products and software features from specification to launch, working closely with teams throughout the company to progress the product roadmap. He joined Pharos in 2023 from a background in Venue Management. Michael holds a degree in Computer Science from Durham University where he was heavily involved in technical theatre as a student.

MG came to Pharos in 2018, first as a Technical Support Specialist, then a Technical Sales Manager and now Regional Sales Manager for the Americas. He supports our manufacturer partners with sales and complex project integrations. Recently, MG was appointed to the Employee Council, representing the remote team.

Nathan joined Pharos in 2012. He has a background in moving head and LED lighting, project management (lighting supply, install and programming), maintenance and technical support. As Product Support Manager for Asia Pacific, he provides customers in the region with sales and technical support for all Pharos products.

Phil joined Pharos in 2024 with a wealth of knowledge, having spent the last 14 years designing, specifying, and commissioning Pharos systems all around the world. Originally trained as an electrical installation engineer, Phil worked primarily in the construction and refits of theatres, TV studios, and other entertainment venues, including cruise ships and overseas projects. He has also worked as a technician and technical manager for entertainment venues. Before joining Pharos, he worked on a freelance basis for TV productions such as BBC Glastonbury coverage, Dancing on Ice, Strictly Come Dancing, X Factor, and Gladiators, to name just a few.
Richard was a founding director of Pharos and now serves as its non-executive Chairman. He is also CEO of Brompton Technology and Chairman of several other influential brands in the entertainment technology sector. Richard has a long-standing interest in theatrical lighting design, and was the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Questors Theatre, the largest amateur theatre in the UK, for seven years.

Ryan has been at Pharos since 2015. He has detailed application, installation and integration knowledge on the portfolio of Pharos' products systems. His Sales role also encompasses training, custom webapp development, and online tutorial video content.
Ryan has been with Pharos since 2015. Initially joining in a technical role, he has actively contributed to some of Pharos' most significant projects, including involvement in various citywide projects in China and playing a key role in London's New Year's Eve show. His expertise extends to the application, installation, and integration of Pharos' diverse product systems. He now looks after the UK, Ireland and Northern European territories.
Simon came into the lighting industry through theatre lighting design, moving into software development for lighting control systems. Over the course of his career he has worked across the full product development lifecycle, supported various landmark lighting installations worldwide, and has served on the boards of companies working in the lighting, AV and cloud software industries. He holds a Masters degree in Engineering and Information Sciences from Cambridge University.
Tasha is relatively new to the lighting industry, officially joining Pharos in June 2023 after a brief stint working for the Carallon group as the Marketing Coordinator. Like many in the company, she has a background in theatre, with a Bachelor of Performing Arts degree from the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art in New Zealand. At Pharos however, she is more likely to use her Marketing degree from the US while managing our social media accounts, assisting with digital marketing efforts, and helping to organise tradeshows and events.
Tim began working at Pharos in 2007 in the role of Technical Support Specialist. Subsequently he moved into technical sales and after a short time became the Sales Manager for the UK, and then Global Support Manager. Most recently promoted to Director of Operations, Tim focuses on a number of areas including customer service, after-sales support, order fulfilment and procurement processes. In his spare time Tim is often found designing lighting for productions across West London.

Tom joined Pharos in 2022 after over ten years working as a Technical Product Manager at Electronic Theatre Controls. After discovering a passion for technical event work at university, Tom worked for a variety of Lighting, Audio and Pyrotechnic companies in a variety of capacities, before moving into the world of development and product management. He specialises in networking for lighting controls, and is the author of several open-source diagnostic tools for lighting systems.

Tony joined Pharos in 2013 to establish Pharos operations in the Asia Pacific region. With a background in theatrical, entertainment and architectural lighting he had many years' experience with Pharos prior to joining the team. Tony has worked on numerous landmark projects during over 20 years living in Asia, so understands the challenges of architectural lighting projects. He works closely with our partners, lighting designers and end users in the region.
Will is one of the Pharos co-founders, and has been involved in the development of all Pharos products. He started in theatrical lighting design, moving into development of control systems. Over the course of his career he has designed and developed a number of iconic products for lighting, stage machinery and video. He still finds time to write software whilst managing an expanding R&D team.
