Arrowsmith Lodge is a privately owned rest home providing a very high standard of care and accommodation for up to 35 residents... Arrowsmith Lodge is situated in the centre of Gregson Lane Village in Hoghton, an area steeped in local history. According to the legend, King James 1 enjoyed a lion of beef served at Hoghton Towers so much, that ke knighted it! Hence the joint is now called "sirlion"... Arrowsmith Lodge can provide accommodation and care for 35 residents and can cater for a variety of special needs, including residents with dementia and mental disorder.
