The Victorian is the illustrated magazine for the members of The Victorian Society. It comes out three times a year, in March, July and November. It is edited by Jeremy Musson, a former Architectural Editor of Country Life (1997-2008) and a former caseworker for the Society in the early 1990s, who is an author, heritage consultant and author. He took over in 2017 from Michael Hall, former editor of The Burlington and author of George Frederick Bodley and the Later Gothic Revival in Britain and America (2014). We've been fighting to protect historic buildings since John Betjeman and Nikolaus Pevsner among others founded The Victorian Society in February 1958. Their aim was to preserve Victorian and Edwardian architecture and encourage research into the art and history of the period.
