QUALITY ENGLISH - Key Persons

Axel Prada

Job Titles:
  • Business Development Manager
I am delighted to introduce myself as the newest member of the Quality English team as Business Development Manager. My job will involve working closely with other members of the QE team, as well as with external partners and stakeholders. My goals are to increase brand awareness, help expand the QE Associate School portfolio and develop stronger strategic partnerships within the industry. I have been working in the ELE industry for the past eight years. I worked at Galway Language Centre and collaborated with Select Ireland Schools during this time. Over the years, I acted as the office administrator, school manager, marketing coordinator and marketing assistant. I'll graduate with my BCom degree from the University of Galway this year. I come to Quality English with a strong background in English language education, extensive experience in program management and a passion for international travel and culture. In my roles, I had the opportunity to cooperate in several capacities with QE and participated in their overseas missions. I learned about their goal to improve access to education and enhance the quality of teaching and learning worldwide. I am thrilled to join this dynamic and innovative organisation supporting that mission. There are many things that I am looking forward to in my new role at QE. First and foremost, I am excited to be part of an organisation committed to making a difference in the world through education. I also look forward to working with a team of talented and passionate professionals who share my values and goals. Finally, I am committed to upholding the high standards of quality and excellence that Quality English is known for and to helping positively impact the lives of our students and partners.

Jonathan Swindell - CEO

Job Titles:
  • Chief Executive
I was appointed as Chief Executive in early 2016. Throughout my career within the Education sector I have always strived to maintain and promote the highest standards wherever I have worked. Firstly with the General Teaching Council which served to regulate teaching in England and subsequently in my role with the Association of Business Executives (an international examination board and membership body) where I worked closely with private colleges all over the world. More recently, when working at the International Study and Language Institute (ISLI) at the University of Reading I was introduced to the world of ELT and all its challenges and threats, but I was soon captivated by this incredible industry. Its a world full of passionate professionals that never ceases to surprise and excite. As Chief Executive, it is my role to maintain the high standards of Quality English (QE) and Quality Education (QEd), always ensuring that our licensed schools and colleges meet the high expectations of international students and their parents. Sean LeGault

Originally from Montreal, Canada, Sean holds a degree in International Relations. Timothy Blake

Job Titles:
  • Owner and Chairman of the London School Group
Timothy Blake is the owner and Chairman of The London School Group, which includes two QE schools: The London School of English and The London School of English Canterbury. The London School of English was founded in 1912 and has been a hallmark of quality for many decades. Timothy qualified as a lawyer, but found an international working environment more appealing and started working as a teacher at The London School of English in 1970. He has done a wide range of jobs there, including a significant amount of time involved with sales and marketing. Very aware that running a school involves a lot more than making sure that the teaching is good, he did an MBA at Cranfield School of Management 1982-84. He was Chair of ARELS, the UK English language schools association, in 1998-2000. He retired from a full-time executive role in the school in 2012 but remains active as Chairman of the group. Timothy has always felt that there are many ways in which competitors can co-operate productively. He has been involved with Quality English since its foundation.
