Dave Thomas

A holder of the Mountain Instructor Certificate ( one of only a handful of people in Wales to hold this top qualification) and British Canoe Union Level 4 Inland Kayak Coach, Dave is one of the highest qualified and experienced instructors in the UK. He has travelled extensively in Scandinavia, Iceland, the European Alps, Corsica, Kenya, Tanzania, North and South America, Canada and Cyprus. Dave participated in the planning and execution of the first successful winter crossing of Iceland on skis from the West coast to the East. Attempted six times previously by various nationalities the Island of Iceland was deemed uncrossable. Dragging sledges each weighing 240 pound the four-man team skied in arctic blizzard conditions for 47 days over 500 miles.

Mark is co-founder with our MD Geraint Lewis of Call of the Wild's Adventure Britain. Since 1998 Adventure Britain have helped organise and deliver outdoor experiences for 1,000's of customers in the stunning Welsh countryside. Adventure Britain is part of the Call of the Wild group. This is an independently-owned, limited company set up by friends who have grown up together in the locality and share a passion for outdoor activity adventure. Having studied at University, they returned to their home town to develop a business which encompassed their interests and allowed them to use their extensive local knowledge to enhance the experience of visitors. It also allowed them to invest back in the area they grew up in.
