We supplied the laboratory necessities identified by our technician (including a microscope and a dyring oven), we arranged medical cover when the laboratory had none during the rainy season, and we helped to finance the training of one of the staff in laboratory medicine. The laboratory needed a tissue processor and we ha raised a third of the funds needed for that... In 2014 in Ghana we raised the remaining funds and bought a tissue processor. We are seeking to raise funds for 2 other pieces of essential equipment (a microtome and embedding center).
