Nurse Abi

I qualified as an Adult Nurse in 2010 and began my career on an acute stroke ward, with some experience of rehab and diabetes alongside this. I then completed a Midwifery course back at Surrey University before returning to my nursing. Following this I had 6 years of experience on a surgical ward at RSCH. I had always been keen to apply my nursing skills to a primary setting, and to develop new ones! Since starting at Swan Medical Group two years ago I have taken on the role of Rapid Access and the Home-Visiting Service. It is an extremely rewarding and autonomous role, and the team here create such a positive and approachable environment.

Nurse Juliette

Job Titles:
  • RAPID ACCESS / HOME VISITING / RESPIRATORY NURSE
I qualified as a nurse in 2003 and have worked within several specialities, but prior to joining the team at The Swan Surgery I worked as a Sister in the Emergency Department at QA. During those 10 years I saw many different patients, with a wide variety of conditions and I developed some fantastic skills. However I felt it was time to embrace a new challenge! Since starting at SMG, I have taken on several different roles, including Rapid Access Clinic, COPD/Asthma, and the home visiting team. These opportunities have led me to meet many of the SMG patients in both Liphook and Petersfield, and I look forward to continuing to develop these roles to drive SMG forward!

Nurse Laura

Nurse Lucy

Job Titles:
  • RAPID ACCESS / RESEARCH NURSE
I work at the surgery as an Acute Care Nurse and Research Nurse. I qualified as Adult Nurse back in 2001 and graduated from Nottingham University with a Bachelor of Nursing Degree. From there I spent the first few years of my career working in Acute Medicine at St Thomas' Hospital in London. I then moved to Royal Sussex Hospital in Brighton where I worked on their Coronary Care Unit (CCU), which started my passion for Cariology. In 2006 I returned to St Thomas' Hospital in London where I worked on their CCU for a number of years. In 2008 I secured a position as a Cardiac Research Nurse at St Thomas' Hospital where I managed a large portfolio of commercial and non-commercial research studies. During my time as a research nurse I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to undertake my Masters in Advance Nursing, which I completed in 2011 from Kings College, London. In 2016 I took a position at the (then) Liphook and Liss Surgery as a Triage Nurse and Research Nurse. I have worked in this position now (for Swan Medical Group since April 2022) for 7 years and I have recently completed and passed my Nurse Prescribers course at Winchester University. Along with Dr Lalonde I coordinate all the research in the surgery, helping to recruit to and manage a wide variety of primary care research studies. Outside work I love to spend time in the countryside with my husband, 2 active boys and our slightly bonkers dog called Billy. I love mountain biking and normally spend my days off either dog walking or cycling in the local national parks.
