MITCH-CAL SERVICES - Key Persons

James Mitchell

My name is James Mitchell, (sometimes known as Jamie) and I have worked in calibration for over 30 years and QA to Quality Assurance Control Standard BS EN ISO 9001:2000. I have attended Guildford College, Mitutoyo and TSI Wolverhampton for Metrology, Auditing and statistical training and Cornwall College for an Engineering Qualification. I'm a former British Motorcycle Hill Climb Champion, winning the 250cc Championship in 1989 and 1990 and the 500cc Championship between 1994 and 1998. I finally won the Overall Championship in 1999, a lifelong ambition after watching my father be successful in the 1970's. I was dedicated to my riding throughout the 90's and took many class records and FTD's at all the great hills, such as Shelsley Walsh, Prescott, Wiscombe and Loton Park. Since then I have taken a more organisational role in the sport and I am also the clubs archivist and a qualified ACU Clerk of the Course.
