OLD TOWN PRIMARY SCHOOL

We strive to promote positive self-images, positive experiences and positive interactions between all pupils through the school curriculum, books and teaching resources and playground procedures and rules. We have a positive anti bullying policy. Bullying, including the use of discriminatory language, is not tolerated in our school. This includes for example racist and homophobic language. We have equal expectations of standards of behaviour, effort, achievement and engagement in the whole curriculum regardless of gender... We strive to make school accessible for all and we make all reasonable adjustments to encourage participation of pupils, parents/carers and staff with any kind of disability... Given the small size of our school (approx. 80 pupils taught over three classes), we have a disproportionately high success rate in sporting and music competitions and our wider curriculum has been developed in consultation with families which enables us to match the needs of our community...
