PRIORS WOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL

Priors Wood is a one form entry Primary School with approximately 230 pupils. There are eight classes taught as separate age groups, two Foundation Stage (Reception and Nursery) two Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2) and four Key Stage 2, (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6), with a maximum class size of 30 children... The school grounds have been designated for the study of wildlife and the environment. As a school we are committed to outdoor educational provision to enhance the children's learning whenever possible... Priors Wood Primary was built in 1968. It is situated in a pleasing location in a quiet residential neighbourhood, on the north-east side of Ware and overlooks attractive countryside. The single storey, well maintained buildings are surrounded by playing fields and grassed areas with trees and shrub beds. There is a variety of outdoor play equipment for the children, and two wooden pergolas provide shelter both for children and adults waiting to collect them at the end of the day.
