Mr Harvey trained at St Georges Hospital Medical School, London, qualifying in 1992. He undertook postgraduate surgical training within the Wessex Regional Orthopaedic Training Programme, where he developed an interest in Spinal Surgery. As well as training in The Spinal Centres at Southampton and Bristol, he completed a twelve month AO Spinal Fellowship in Brisbane, Australia, where he obtained experience in elective and emergency spinal care.
