WAKEFIELD CIVIC SOCIETY

Wakefield Civic Society - an organisation dedicated to making Wakefield a better place in which to live, work or relax... We want to celebrate the best of our architectural heritage and we are responsible for most of the commemorative blue plaques that you will see in and around the city. We regularly lead walks around the city centre for groups who wish to learn more about the city's rich history and would be happy to discuss putting on additional walks with group leaders... To coincide with Heritage Open Days 2023, we have produced the next four leaflets in our ‘Discover Wakefield' leaflets.
