Annie Mauger-Thompson - CEO

Annie is an experienced leader in the public and not-for-profit sectors. Annie has worked across the UK in different roles including senior management in local authorities, leading a UK government agency, a charity for asylum seekers and refugees, and as chief executive of a UK-wide membership body. She works closely with the Sacro Board and the Directors to provide strategic leadership to the organisation.

David Mackie

Job Titles:
  • Sheriff
David was in private practice as a Solicitor and an Advocate for 25 years before being appointed a Sheriff in 2001. For 15 years until his retirement from the Bench in 2019 he sat as the resident Sheriff in Alloa Sheriff Court. Through his work as a Sheriff, he developed a belief in the power of redemption and applied compassion and understanding of both the victims and perpetrators of crime to his personal judicial practice.

Eric Fraser

Eric is a former Royal Navy Admiral with a distinguished naval career. He became Scotland's first Veterans Commissioner and retains a keen interest in supporting veterans and their families.

Faye Shaw

Faye has been Managing Director of Serco Business Services since April 2018, and prior to that headed up Serco's Citizen Services business and held the position of CEO of ACCESS a joint venture with Glasgow City Council delivering ICT and Property Services. Previously with PwC, Faye worked as a consultant within the firm's small business advisory service, advising on areas of business process improvement, systems selection and implementation.

Fiona Davidson

Fiona is a self-employed HR Consultant and Executive Coach. She has a background in senior HR roles and brings this extensive experience to the Board in support of Sacro's people.

Gerry Milne - COO

  • Leader and Senior Manager With over 25 Years' Experience at Glasgow Caledonian University
Gerry is an established leader and senior manager with over 25 years' experience at Glasgow Caledonian University where he held role as Chief Financial Officer and Vice Principal Infrastructure. As Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for Sacro's corporate services. He brings extensive experience in dealing with senior stakeholders across a number of sectors.

Greg Maxwell

Job Titles:
  • Head of Corporate Affairs at Edinburgh Airport
Greg is the Head of Corporate Affairs at Edinburgh Airport. He has worked in media and communications for more than 15 years, first as a journalist and then as a senior communications officer with the Scottish Government, and brings extensive experience and insight across the media, PR and engagement landscape. One of his main values is fairness and how that can be harnessed for people across society, no matter their background.

Jane Davidson

Jane is a former Chief Executive of NHS Borders and a Non-Executive Director of National Services Scotland. She brings a background in financial and risk management to the board and is a champion for tackling exclusion.

Jayne Laidlaw

Jayne has served Scotland's voluntary sector for over 30 years, working predominately with children and families and people affected by social disadvantage or trauma.

John Kennedy

John worked with Strathclyde Police and then Police Scotland for 30 years where he gained significant experience in Adult & Child Protection, Offender Management and Domestic Abuse. As Sacro's Director of Community Safety and Public Protection, John oversees our National Intensive Support Services, Domestic Abuse and Gender-based Violence Services. He is responsible for the organisation's health and safety management, ensuring those at high-risk are managed and supported to the highest standards.

Jon Beck - Chairman

Job Titles:

Jon is a Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years' experience in financial services, investing and charity sectors. He has a particular interest in community, education and medical research causes.

Lynne Thornhill

Job Titles:
  • Director of Justice
With a background in probation services and most recently, Improvement Lead at Community Justice Scotland, Lynne's original motivation to support people to find their better way of being remains. As Director of Justice, Lynne's focus is on working in partnership with all Sacro's stakeholders, including those who access its services, to deliver better outcomes for people that prevent and reduce offending and support safer communities.

Natalya Macholla

Job Titles:

Natalya is a Chartered Accountant with considerable experience of the housing and care sectors having held a number of senior roles, including Managing Director of Customer Service for the largest provider of social housing in Scotland, the Wheatley Group. She has a particular interest in community regeneration, homelessness, tackling inequality and supporting people impacted by social disadvantage.

Zahra Hedges

Zahra is CEO of Winning Scotland, a national charity that builds the confidence and resilience of Scotland's young people through the adults around them. She has been a leader and founder of a social enterprise and a successful retail business. Zahra is an active advocate for better diversity, inclusion, representation and fairness.
