Ann joined RH & RW Clutton in 2006 as a secretary for George Back. She enjoys exercising her lively spaniel which she also brings with her to work each day.

Ben joined RH & RW Clutton in 2015 as a Land Agent having previously worked for the National Trust in Surrey. He read Geography at Durham before undertaking a Masters in Rural Estate Management at the Royal Agricultural College in 2011.
Ben became a member of the RICS in 2013 and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers in 2014. Ben became an Associate of RH & RW Clutton in April 2017 and a Senior Associate in October 2018.
The majority of Ben's time is spent on estate management, assisting the Partners on a number of estates across the South East of England.
Outside work Ben is a keen sportsman in particular cricket, which he plays for Balcombe Cricket Club, as well as shooting and golf.

Cerys joined RH & RW Clutton in January 2015 and is the Property Maintenance Co-ordinator in our Commercial Department.
The majority of Cerys' career was spent working for Allen & Overy in both their London and New York offices in many varied roles from PA to Customer Services Manager leaving the firm in 2012. Before she joined RH & RW Clutton Cerys spent time working as Property Manager for a small local family run business. In her spare time Cerys spends her time with her extremely active children.
Cerys is based in our East Grinstead office.
Christopher has acted as a consultant for the firm since 2007 when he retired from the partnership after 42 years with RH & RW Clutton, 33 of them as an equity partner.
After farming in the Midlands and estate management experience while working for the firm Christopher qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1968 and as a Full Member of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers in 1971. He has been involved in all aspects of the firm's professional work, particularly in rural estate management, planning, building projects and forestry.
In his retirement Christopher is on the board of management of a Grade 1 historic house and garden in Sussex, which has charitable status and is opened to the public seasonally with its important collection of art and period contents.
His interests lie in all country pursuits, gardening, skiing and travel.
Diane joined the Firm's accounts department in 1997 and has a special interest in taxation. After an initial grounding with the Inland Revenue, Diane worked for a number of years for accountants Moore Stephens. She has also worked part-time for local accountants.
In her spare time Diane plays badminton and is the club's treasurer. She is also a trustee and treasurer of Grenestede Taking News, a charity for blind and partially-sighted local residents, which is supported by the Firm too.
George joined RH & RW Clutton in 2001 from Humberts in the Pewsey Vale where he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor. George joined the equity in 2005 and has been Senior Director of the business since 2012. George studied at the Royal Agricultural College, having been educated at Marlborough College, where he enjoyed his sport.
George's expertise is in the management of Rural Estates. His extensive knowledge of the local area and diverse range of clients means he has a great deal of experience in advising clients to utilise their resources as efficiently as possible to meet their objectives. George's wide ranging skills include advising on planning and development matters, tax planning, strategic estate reviews, land sales and purchases, tenancy and staff issues, property and land diversification as well as forestry and farming.
George is married to Victoria, a former lawyer who is now RH & RW Clutton's Managing Director and has two daughters. His interests outside the office remain very rural, with two chaotic spaniels that require considerable exercise, shooting, playing cricket and tennis for local clubs and long walks in the Weald where he lives.
George is based in our East Grinstead office.
Haden joined RH & RW Clutton in September 2021 after completing a Masters in Rural Estate Management at the Royal Agricultural University. Haden is currently working towards his APC while assisting on several estates across West Sussex. Having worked in a number of areas within rural industry before joining RH & RW Clutton, Haden has a keen interest the future of land management and the countryside. Outside of work Haden is a keen horseman and plays polo regularly he also enjoys a range of country pursuits including shooting and fishing. Haden is based in both our East Grinstead and our Petworth offices.
James is Head of Rural Agency in the Firm having spent his career buying and selling some of the finest properties in the South East. James handles all of the residential agency work from our East Grinstead office and has been successfully developing the firm's agricultural agency practice. In addition, James handles a considerable amount of professional valuation work. He has prepared and handled a number of expert witness reports for clients and has had considerable success in negotiating probate valuations with the District Valuer's Office. James has a portfolio of local rural and agricultural management clients and is involved with a wide range of management issues including rent reviews.
James joined the firm as a Partner in 2008, having spent the previous 25 years with a national firm based in Lewes, he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1982 and is an RICS Registered Valuer. He is also a member of the Agricultural Law Association.
When not working James spends his time building up the wildlife population on his estate at Chailey and he is also a keen fisherman.
James is based in our East Grinstead office.
Katie joined RH & RW Clutton in 2014 and is secretary to Philip Baker and Richard Grassly in the Commercial Team and Tim Hutchings. Sitting in reception Katie also assists the receptionist and is our filing clerk.
Katie has two teenage children who are keen footballers so can often be found on the side lines cheering them on.
Katy joined the Accounts department of RH and RW Clutton in 1998. Based in the East Grinstead office, Katy does bookkeeping for a number of clients, and also enjoys working on site when a client requires a bookkeeper in their own farm office.
Quintessentially a country woman, Katy is married to Tom, Stockman on Balcombe Estate, and they are surrounded by their family of Labradors. Relaxation time revolves around the dogs - daily long walks, training and competing at Dog Agility around the country, and Picking Up on a busy shoot during the winter. Katy also enjoys her garden, when time allows!
Lisa joined RH & RW Clutton in June 2022 as a part-time Receptionist/Administrator. Outside of RH & RW Clutton, Lisa's other part-time role is the Business Manager for the East Grinstead Business Association of which RH & RW Clutton are proud members.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys gardening, running and long walks in the countryside.

Nic joined the firm as a Graduate Surveyor in March 2012, having worked locally for the previous two years. He graduated from the Royal Agricultural College in 2009 with a degree in Rural Land Management. Nic successfully passed his APC in 2013. Nic was promoted to Senior Associate of RH & RW Clutton in October 2020.
Nic's main work priorities revolve around the management of private Rural Estates in Sussex. Outside work Nic is a committee member of the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust, Sussex Division and enjoys a number of country pursuits and plays golf locally.

Nikki joined RH & RW Clutton in 2017 as a secretary for Philip. In Nikki's spare time you can find her on the playground with her grandson or walking her dog on the Ashdown Forest.

Peter joined RH & RW Clutton in May 2016 as the partner in charge of residential agency across three offices. He started his estate agency career in central London in 1982, where he gained invaluable experience selling some of the most expensive property in prime central London. In 1997 Peter returned to Sussex and in 2005 founded Peter Hughes Country Property based out of Petworth.
Peter is one of the most experienced agents in West Sussex and has a real passion for property. His extensive knowledge of the market and expert negotiating skills enables him to advise on sales and lettings, as well as acting for clients when buying and advising on development potential, as well as the marketing of new developments.
Peter is married to Clare and they have a young family. Outside of the office Peter can often be found playing keyboards in a rock and roll band. He also enjoys keeping fit, sailing, shooting, skiing, motor sport and gardening.
Peter is based in our Petworth office.

Philip, a Chartered Surveyor, has been involved in the property profession for most of his working life. He qualified in 1976, has spent most of his career in East Grinstead and the surrounding areas, latterly specialising in the commercial property sector. Philip lives in Newick with Shirley and is a member of the East Grinstead Meridian Rotary Club. Philip is based in our East Grinstead office. Philip became a consultant in May 2022.
Pippa joined RH & RW Clutton in May 2016 having been part of Peter Hughes Country Property in Petworth since 2006. Originally a trained nurse, Pippa moved in to the world of Estate Agency in 1987 when she started working for Jackson Stops in Chelsea as a sales negotiator. After two years Pippa was headhunted to join the firm Aylesford & Co on the Kings Road, Chelsea as a senior negotiator and she remained there for just over ten years. After a short career break and a move back to her home town of Petworth with her young family, Pippa set up a small independent property finding business which kept her occupied until returning to agency with Peter Hughes.
Petworth has been home for Pippa since 1974, having moved in to the area with her parents as a child and following a short interlude in London. Pippa is married to Jeremy, currently an officer in the armed forces and has numerous interests outside her work in estate agency. She is still kept busy with a daughter who remains an avid horsewoman in her late teens. Pippa has been a very active volunteer and committee member for the Cowdray Hunt branch of the Pony Club, and has recently retired as membership secretary after a spell of five years.
Pippa is based in the Petworth office.
Sally joined RH & RW Clutton in 2022 and is based in the Residential Sales office at 1 West Street. Following many years within Estate Agency, in the East Grinstead and surrounding area, Sally has a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer.
Sally grew up in Lingfield and still lives locally. When not at work, she is kept busy with her children and walking the family dog.

Sam joined the firm as a Trainee letting agent in July 2007 and became a qualified member of the Propertymark Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) in 2010, she specialises in the letting of residential property on behalf of our retained management clients and a growing portfolio of private landlords.
Sam was born and grew up in Ashurst Wood, West Sussex on a stock farm managed by RH & RW Clutton and is very involved in the local area and when not at work enjoys exercising her dog, DIY projects, gardening and painting. Sam is based in our East Grinstead office.

Sandie joined RH & RW Clutton in 2023 as Company Secretary. Her accounting experience is gained from working for small start-up CICs, family run businesses and large multinational companies.
In her spare time, when not needed as Mum's Taxi, Sandie is a fair-weather cyclist and enjoys crochet, card making and reading.
