Andrew Hays

Job Titles:
  • Associate

BA BArch ARB

Job Titles:
  • Associate
Since joining the practice in 2010, Andrew has developed both his education and heritage sector experience working on three new-build school projects and on the refurbishment and re-invention of the iconic David Attenborough Building for Cambridge University, where he also helped develop the BIM strategy for modelling the existing building. For UCL, Andrew was the project leader on the recently re-opened Bloomsbury Theatre, which sits within an occupied 1960s building in the heart of London. The technically complex refurbishment and upgrade project involved work on the 550-seat venue being carried out while all of the building's other facilities continued to operate as normal. He is currently co-leading on a major mixed-use project at Calverley Square in Tunbridge Wells to deliver a new Theatre and Civic Office Suite in the heart of the town. Andrew was our first BIM Manager and guided the practice through the introduction of BIM, developing protocols, creating templates and offering set-up and on-going support for all projects while also offering BIM training to our staff. He continues to be involved in the practice's BIM strategy and implementation as part of the in-house BIM Leads group.
