Carol Bedford

Carol is an experienced FCILEx qualified residential conveyancer with Sampson Coward's Property team. Carol has worked in property for over 30 years and has been a Fellow of ILEX since 2009. Carol joined Sampson Coward Solicitors in April 2023. I would like to say how grateful we are for how well Carol handled the conveyancing process as it was not straightforward. Caroline Parsons

Caroline Parsons is joint Head of Residential Property. She qualified in 2000 after taking her degree at Southampton Solent University and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Guildford. Caroline joined Whitehead Vizard LLP on qualification and became a partner in 2003. Whitehead Vizard merged with Sampson Coward in 2020. Caroline, thank you so much for your services, help and advice throughout the purchase of our house. You made it a stress free experience and we are very grateful for all that you have done. Experience Caroline is experienced in all aspects of residential conveyancing including sales, purchases, transfers of equity and remortgages. Her strong relationship with other professionals in the conveyancing process such as estate agents, surveyors and mortgage brokers helps to ensure the whole process is as smooth as possible. David Coward

Jane Pringle

Jane Pringle is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives who specialises in Residential Conveyancing. Qualifying as a Legal Executive in 2010, Jane has had experience both as an inhouse property lawyer for a large housing association and as a conveyancer for a firm in the east Dorset area. Jane joined Sampson Coward with Whitehead Vizard in November 2021.

Jessica Johnston

Jessica is a partner who specialises in the preparation of Wills, trusts and estate administration as well as dealing with a wide range of Power of Attorney and financial Deputyship matters. Jessica studied law at the University of Bristol and graduated in 2008 following which she completed the legal practice course. Jessica then trained and worked at a regional law firm based in Salisbury before joining Whitehead Vizard LLP in November 2016 prior to the firm's merger with Sampson Coward LLP in April 2020. Jessica is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) which is the ‘gold standard' in the area of Wills, trusts and estates. Jessica provides comprehensive legal advice in a clear and approachable manner. She understands the importance of working closely with existing financial advisors and accountants to achieve the best outcome for clients.

Lin Cumberlin

Matthew Knight

Stephen Kenmir

Stephen is a solicitor and head of the Commercial Department. He graduated with a degree in business studies from Cass Business School and following a Diploma in Law from City University qualified as a solicitor with SJ Berwin in London in 1991. Having previously worked at firms in London, Cheltenham and Dorking, Stephen has worked in Salisbury since 2007. Stephen is a member of the Agricultural Law Association and also a member of the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners. Thank you Stephen for your attention in this matter. I have never known the granting of a lease to go so smoothly. Experience Stephen specialises in all aspects of commercial property work, including sales and purchases, leases, options and pre-emptions, and mortgages for clients including developers, investors and lenders. He also deals with transactions involving SIPP's and SSAS's. Stephen deals with transactions involving agricultural land acting for farmers and local estates. Tina Coward

Tina is a Partner at Sampson Coward LLP, and Head of the Family Department. Tina studied for a Law and French joint honours degree at Keele University and went on to take her Solicitors Finals at Chester Law College. She qualified in 1986 after training with a West Country law firm. Thereafter she worked for a large firm in Berkshire before becoming a Partner in a firm in Salisbury in 1992. Tina joined Sampson Coward in 2005. Tina is a member of Resolution, and is on the Law Society Family Panel as well as a qualified Collaborative Lawyer. She is also a member of Salisbury Chamber of Commerce and has sat previously on the Domestic Violence Forum, on the committee to Salisbury and District Family Mediation and as company secretary on the board of directors of a local homeless charity. From the very start I trusted Tina, she carried out my request to the letter and did an outstanding job. Experience Having practised in the Salisbury area for over twenty years, the vast majority of Tina's work comes through personal recommendations from previous satisfied clients as well as barristers and other professionals. She has considerable experience of dealing with high net worth cases as well as those cases involving more limited assets. Tina deals with complicated financial issues involving businesses and assets abroad, e.g. freezing injunctions, as well as having extensive experience dealing with armed forces divorces and pre- nuptial and post nuptial agreements. Vicky Langdown

Vicky is Head of Property. She is a Chartered Legal Executive qualifying as a Fellow in 2000 having become a Member in 1997. She had to wait an extra year to become a Fellow as she was younger than 25, which was the entry age at the time. She has worked for 4 different legal firms located in Salisbury, Andover, Southampton and Basingstoke - where she concentrated on residential property - and she has also worked ‘in house' for a telecoms company where she dealt with their commercial property portfolio. Vicky undertook a course in 2009 so she was qualified to provide advice regarding Wills and Probate. Vicky was fantastic, thorough, clear and so organised. I cannot express in words my relief to have received such excellent advice, help, supreme efforts by Vicky Langdown and her team to manage and complete the purchase. Experience Residential Vicky has extensive experience in the Salisbury residential market covering the whole spectrum of sales and purchase from one bedroom flats to large properties with adjoining land as well as remortgages, transfers of equity and matrimonial conveyancing. She covers all the issues related to conveyancing, plus ancillary matters such as Deeds of Easement, Deeds of Covenant etc. Vicky deals with the drafting of Wills and the administration of estates both below and above the inheritance tax threshold. Her knowledge of Property matters is very helpful when advising individuals on Wills and the execution of Probate matters.
