Antoine Chkaiban is a member of the Technology Infrastructure team, and is based in London. Prior to joining New Street Research, Antoine worked on designing and deploying high performance computing applications in a range of topics, including computer vision, consumer analytics and finance. Antoine holds a Masters of Engineering from CentraleSupélec, where he acquired scientific skills in advanced computer systems, mathematics, as well as theoretical physics and mechanics. He also went to Cornell University to conduct research at the Computer Science department. Antoine is passionate about A.I. and enjoys flying planes.

Ben Harwood is a member of the Technology Infrastructure team, and is based in London. Prior to joining New Street Research, Ben worked in Pierre's #1-ranked Telecom Equipment and Semiconductors team at Bernstein. Ben holds a MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham. In his spare time, Ben enjoys playing sports and travelling to explore different cultures.

Ben Rickett is a member of the European Communication Services research team. Prior to joining New Street Research Ben worked as a consultant to the telecoms industry, advising on spectrum auctions, corporate finance and regulatory matters. Ben has an MPhys degree from the University of Oxford. In his spare time Ben enjoys making gnocchi and websites.

Blair Levin is the Policy Advisor to New Street Research. Prior to joining New Street, Blair served as Chief of Staff to FCC Chairman Reed Hundt (1993-1997), directed the writing of the United States National Broadband Plan (2009-2010), and was a policy analyst for the equity research teams at Legg Mason and Stif Nicolaus. Levin is a graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School.

Brian Nash joined New Street Research in 2018 as Controller. Brian brings to New Street over 20 years of comprehensive financial management expertise within the financial services industry. Prior to New Street, he served as Vice President - Finance at Cain Brothers & Company LLC in New York.

Casey Kempner joined New Street Research in July of 2023. Prior to New Street, Casey was a pitcher on the Johns Hopkins University Baseball team that finished runner-up in the 2023 NCAA National Championship. As a student at Johns Hopkins, he graduated with a STEM-based Master's degree in Finance (Financial Econometrics). Before Johns Hopkins, he graduated with his Bachelor's degree at Penn State University where he earned a D1 baseball scholarship. Casey grew up in the north suburbs of Chicago, attending baseball games at Wrigley Field. Outside of baseball, Casey enjoys watching Penn State Football and Curb Your Enthusiasm. At New Street, he is based out of the New York City office.

Charlie Gaynor is a member of the three strong London based TMT Sales Team, and since New Street's beginnings as Telecoms specialists, has broadened his expertise along with the firm to encompass the wider TMT arena. Prior to New Street, Charlie was a sector specialist on ranked teams at JP Morgan and UBS. Outside of TMT, Italy exerts a strong draw, Umbria for on and off road cycling, the Dolomites for ski touring, and all regions for the food & wine.

Chris Hoare has been with New Street since 2006, leading coverage of EM Telecom Services, with a particular focus on Asia and EMEA. He was previously an MD with Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and co-head of their highly ranked European telecom team. Chris can often be found in Marrakech, tending his olive trees and mixing negronis.
Dan Gilroy joined New Street in April of 2019, where his primary focus is on New Street's strategic relationships and growth initiatives. Prior to joining New Street, he gained experience in global equities at CLSA, Vertical Research, and Strategas Research. Outside of the office, Dan enjoys travel, rocking out at concerts, cheering on all New England sports teams and most importantly, spending time with his wife and young family. Dan is a proud alumnus of Northeastern University, and actively serves on the Board of Advisors of Saint Raphael Academy, and the Board of Directors of the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation, in his home state of Rhode Island.
Dan Salmon leads the US Internet research team. He joined New Street Research in 2022, and prior to that spent 18 years at BMO Capital Markets and led the US Internet & Media research team. Dan graduated from Princeton University and lives in New York City with his wife and three children. When it's time to unplug from the Internet, Dan can usually be found lakeside at the family cottage in Canada.
David-Mickael Lopes joined New Street Research in 2014, to work within the Asian Communication Services research team. Prior to joining New Street Research he worked for AXA IM in the European cross-border fund marketing team and for Tikehau IM as a credit analyst in Paris. Outside of work he enjoys sports and especially football.

Derek Mogull is a member of the Technology Infrastructure team, and is based in New York City. Prior to joining New Street Research, Derek was a quantitative analyst at Benetin Technologies and prior to that he worked as an Equity Trading and Quant product controller at Deutsche Bank. Derek holds a BS in Finance from Rutgers Business School and has completed course work towards an MBA at Cornell University. Derek is passionate about engaging with the less fortunate and enjoys collecting sports cards.

Dimitri Livchits has 25 years' Equity Sales experience most recently as a Managing Director at Bernstein Research. Prior to this, Dimitri worked as Global Sales at Merrill Lynch, HSBC and BNPParibas. Outside the office, Dimitri is a keen globetrotter and adventurous scuba diver.
Ethan Lacy has over 25 years of experience covering TMT, including in leveraged finance, and as a II Ranked HY TMT Analyst, as well as an equity analyst. In addition to his time as a publishing, II ranked HY analyst at Merrill Lynch, Ethan also spent time as a publishing Cable/Satellite equity analyst at Merrill Lynch and Bank of America. Finally, Ethan spent four years as the number one ranked TMT Specialty Salesperson on the street at BAML, prior to joining New Street Research in January of 2016. Ethan has lived all over the world, speaks three languages, loves his family, surfing and travel.

Iain M. Johnston is the chairman and founder of New Street Research and the Senior Partner in London; he contributes to the Asian research product. Before establishing New Street, Iain was the Global Head of Telecom Research at J.P.Morgan and the no.1 ranked I.I. analyst. Whilst his colleagues enjoy energetic pursuits in their leisure time, Iain's interests lie indoors: the arts, wine and Scottish Reeling.
James holds an MBA from the University of Hong Kong. During his spare time, he enjoys hiking and travelling.
James Ratzer heads up the European Communication Services research team and was one of the initial founding partners. In the most recent II survey, James was named as the number 1 ranked individual independent research analyst across all sectors. Prior to helping found New Street Research, he led the Telecoms Research team at UBS, where the team was no. 1 ranked, and he was individually ranked as a number 1 analyst. Away from the office, James is a keen cyclist.

Jaslin Ng is the Office Manager for the Singapore office and is responsible for all administrative functions. Prior to joining New Street Research, she had worked at Moody's, SAP, Hyperion/Oracle and TELUS International in Personal/Executive Assistant roles. She earned her Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Canberra. During her free time, Jaslin likes to research on nutrition and healthy living.
Jin Yoon leads the Asia Internet Research team. Prior to joining NSR in 2018, he led the China Internet research team at Mizuho Securities Asia and Nomura Securities where he was ranked by All-Asia Institutional Investor between 2008-20013. Jin is an avid college basketball fan and travels to the final four every year.
Joanna Harris spent 25 years in various roles at Morgan Stanley with her last role there supporting the Media Equity Research sector Managing Director and his team. Her background encompasses Equity Research, Operations and Facilities within financial services, and during the 2020 pandemic she worked in a role providing support to the Founding Partner and Clinical Director at Penrose Health. Joanna has a keen interest in fine wine and is a Chevalier of the Clos de Vougeot in Burgundy.
Jonathan Chaplin leads the US Communications Services research team. Prior to joining NSR he led the Telecom, Cable & Satellite research teams at Credit Suisse and JPMorgan where he was recognized as a top ranked analyst and stock picker by Institutional Investor, the Wall Street Journal and Forbes. When he isn't analyzing the telecom industry, Jonathan is often disconnected from all networks, in remote parts of the world, climbing mountains.
Kelvin Oh is a Singapore-based member of the Asia Communications Services research team. Before New Street Research, he was a Management Associate under Singtel's Group Strategic Investments team. He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University. An avid reader, he brings along his Kindle everywhere he goes and enjoys staying active.
Maria Van Tonder joined New Street's UK office in 2008 with the healthcare research team before moving into operations and finance in 2011 including taking on the role of Compliance Oversight, HR and legal. Prior to joining New Street, she worked in the Equity Research operations team at HSBC, having previously held roles in private equity M&A and equity research at UBS.
Mark Franks has over 25 years of Equity Sales experience, most recently as a Managing Director at Bernstein Research. Previously, he has worked on the Pan-European Sales desks at Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley and HSBC James Capel, both in London and New York. He has been deal-captain on a number of Telecom sector IPO and secondary market transactions. Outside of the office, Mark is a volunteer rugby coach.

Matt Perault is a Policy Advisor to New Street Research, as well as the director of the Center on Technology Policy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before that, Matt worked for more than eight years at Facebook, where he served as the head of the global policy development team, leading the company's policy work on issues ranging from antitrust to law enforcement and human rights. Matt holds a law degree from Harvard Law School, a Master's degree in Public Policy from the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University, and a Bachelor's degree in political science from Brown University.
Michael Chambers is responsible for building out the Asia-Pacific business for New Street Research. Now based in Singapore, Michael has worked for 26 years in Asia in Indonesia, Korea and Singapore. Prior to joining New Street Research, Michael worked for over 11 years at regional broker, CLSA, where he was a top ranked analyst and sales person before running the Korean business from 2008. In his spare time, Michael is raising two teenage daughters, which is a full time job in itself.

Phil Burnett is a member of the US telecoms team, having joined in 2019 from a macro research shop focused on predicting recessions and cycles in inflation. Before that he was at Columbia getting his bachelors in English Literature. When not working, he can be found at either Barry's Bootcamp or eating Tex-Mex or making the world's very best spicy margarita (and preferably all three at the same time).

Pierre Ferragu heads up the Global Technology Infrastructure research team. Prior to joining New Street Research, Pierre spent over ten years at Bernstein, covering Telecom Equipment, Data Networking, Cybersecurity, Semiconductor, and Semiconductor Capital Equipment. He has been recognized multiple years as the #1-ranked analyst in surveys by Institutional Investors, Extel, Thomson Reuters, and Greenwich Associates. Prior to Bernstein, Pierre was a principal at BCG, and graduated in Telecom and Computer Sciences from Centrale-Supélec, and in Sociology from Sciences-Po, in Paris. When he doesn't write research on the next technology disruption, Pierre develops his own machine learning algorithms and spends time at sea or in the mountains with his wife and five kids.

Piyush Kalyani is a member of the Technology Infrastructure team and is based in London. He joined New Street Research as a post graduate from Imperial College London. Piyush holds a MSc in Finance from Imperial College London and a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge, Downing College. He enjoys playing football and cycling.

Rolf Bulk is a member of the Technology Infrastructure team, and is based in Singapore. Prior to joining New Street Research, Rolf worked in Pierre's #1-ranked Telecom Equipment and Semiconductors team at Bernstein. He also has previous experience in banking and brokerage at KAS Bank in Amsterdam and Neonet Securities in Stockholm. Rolf holds a MSc in Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics and a BA in Business from Rotterdam Business School. Rolf is passionate about the potential of space industry, and enjoys skiing and diving.

Russell Waller is a founding partner of New Street, having worked at UBS before as a member of the number 1 ranked Telecoms Team. When not neck-deep modelling in Excel, Russell can either be found cooking (BBQ) or listening to music (bass house, techno, DnB) - unless it's the ski season, when he'll be doing both, but in the mountains; or you might catch him watching his beloved Liverpool play football (soccer).

Soomit Datta heads up the Latin American TMT coverage at New Street. Prior to joining in 2004, Soomit was part of the number 1 ranked European telecoms team at UBS covering the Nordic region. When not conducting on-the-ground research on the beaches around Rio, he spends his free time as a part-time taxi driver for his young family.

Steven Alexander joined New Street Research in July of 2023. His primary focus is on day-to-day operational activities that support the growth and development of New Street's business. Prior to New Street, Steven was a part of the Communications team at Spin, a global micro-mobility company. As a formally trained musician, Steven can be found brushing up on his musical practices when not at the office. He enjoys traveling, trying new cuisines, and all that New York has to offer. Steven holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Miami as well as an MA and MBA from the University of Rochester (Simon Business School).
Steven Perez works in Specialty Sales and has more than 15 years of experience, working previously at Goldman and Merrill, and most recently Deutsche where he managed a team. Away from the office, he endures surfing in cold conditions.

Vikash Harlalka is a member of the US Communications Services team. Prior to joining NSR, Vikash was a part of highly ranked research teams covering Cable, Media and Telecom at Evercore ISI and Citigroup. Vikash is a Chartered Accountant, holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and is a CFA Charterholder. He used to be passionate about International Cinema and Gaming before he had a son and now enjoys playing cricket/baseball with him.
Zach spent 15 years in institutional equity sales at Lehman, JPMorgan & UBS prior to joining New Street. When not advising clients, Zach can be found at an ice rink, a lacrosse field, or cheering on anything associated with the University of Michigan-Go Blue!
