Anastasia Packman is a Chartered Legal Executive in the Wills and Probate team in our Billericay office. She first qualified in Russian Law in 1997 then retrained in English law and qualified as Chartered Legal Executive in 2010.
For the past 15 years, Anastasia has been specialising in dealing with Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection.
Andrew Brown qualified as a Solicitor in 1983 having taken a Cambridge Law Degree and joined Michael Cullen & Partners in 1984 which subsequently merged with Fisher Jones Greenwood in 2012. Since qualifying Andrew has specialised in family law dealing with all aspects of separation and divorce and has considerable experience in matrimonial financial disputes including high net value cases.
He has wide experience of all cases relating to children including adoption applications and residence and contact disputes. Andrew represents clients in courts all over Essex on a daily basis.

Andy is a Chartered Tax Adviser with over 25 years of experience advising a varied portfolio of personal clients and small businesses.
His particular specialisms involve capital taxes planning such as assisting with tax efficient Will drafting, compliance surrounding trusts, and reviewing estate for potential tax mitigation strategies via Deeds of Variation.
Andy has considerable experience advising property investors and developers on all tax aspects of property transactions. There are 7 taxes in the tax spectrum, and just because something seems efficient for one tax, does not suggest that the overall proposal is tax efficient.
Andy's approach to advising is based on real life experience, understanding that personalities and situations influence clients decision making.
Outside of work, Andy loves the great outdoors and takes any opportunity to find a good local walk and pub, and enjoys hill-walking whenever time allows. Andy is also a life-long Ipswich Town supporter.

Anthony Edwards joined the firm in January 2019 as the HR Manager. Anthony leads the strategic and operational performance of our staff striving to ensure we are an employer of choice.
Ash developed a keen interest in family law early on in his legal career and with over 20 years in practice he has helped many clients navigate what is often a very challenging time in their lives.
He specialises in divorce and finances including cohabitation disputes where a separating couple is not married, and assists his clients with arrangements for children to determine how much time they spend with each parent.
Ash also helps clients that are victims of domestic abuse in applications for non-molestation and occupation orders.
Ash's approach is to accompany each of his clients throughout the process of their individual matter, to help them to find workable solutions, and where possible, to represent them in court.

- Senior Caseworker and Accredited Supervisor
Partner Ashlee Campbell is a Senior Immigration Accredited Advisor who has been working advising on all areas of Immigration Law since 2002. She has extensive experience with corporate immigration which includes Sponsor Licence applications for employers and education providers and all aspects of the Points Based system.
She can advise on the initial Sponsor Licence application, Reviews of refusal/reinstatement of Sponsor Licences, Highly Trusted Sponsor Licence applications, Intracompany transfers etc. She has particular experience with onsite compliance audits for companies and education providers and can advise on the audit of illegal working documents at companies and assist employers with defending criminal and civil penalties. She can advise both Education providers on Tier 4 compliance as well as students under Tier 4 of the Points Based system.
She also has extensive experience in dealing with appeals before the First Tier and Upper Tier Immigration Tribunals, Judicial Reviews, Court of Appeal applications and European Court of Human Rights applications.
Ashlee often deals with complex immigration matters for clients which include advice on the Points Based system, family applications, spouse/ unmarried partner/ civil partner visa applications; dependent relative visa applications, Naturalisation applications and Registration of children as British citizens. She also advised on applications for those people coming from the European Union, Asylum and Human Rights applications.
Ashlee Campbell is an Accredited Level 2 Senior Caseworker and Accredited Supervisor and has assisted countless asylum applicants over the years, particularly taking referrals from social services for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. She is the Supervisor for the legal aid contract that Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP has been awarded by the Legal Aid Agency in order to undertake legally aided work in Asylum matters. Our legal aid contract also extends to assisting victims of domestic violence and victims of human trafficking and modern-day slavery, in their immigration applications.
Ashlee also has a teaching qualification and can provide in-house training and presentations to employers on UKBA compliance and illegal working. She is originally from South Africa where she studied law at the University of the Witwatersrand where she obtained her BA and postgraduate LLB in law.
Prior to leaving South Africa, she worked for a trade union where she specialised in employment law but has specialised in Immigration Law in the U.K. Ashlee is based at our Charter Court office.

Ashton Carter is a Partner and Head of our Corporate and Commercial team. He studied law at the University of Essex, graduating in 2008 and then went on to qualify from BPP Law School with a Commendation for the Legal Practice Course (LPC) in 2009 obtaining a commendation award in Business Law.
Ashton trained with Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP and qualified as a Solicitor in March 2013, being promoted to Partner in April 2015.
Ashton is particularly interested in corporate, commercial, company and partnership work, including specialising in corporate transactions involving both share and assets sales/purchases, mergers, acquisitions and disposals, management buy-outs, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, corporate reorganisations and restructures.
Ashton also has a passion for working with charities and undertakes a considerable amount of charity work as well as providing independent legal advice in relation to business finance arrangements, mortgages, and guarantees.
Ashton has previously, been a part of the ‘Consulting Room' legal clinic in association with COLBEA Business Centre, aimed at providing new business start-ups and small/medium enterprises with free, initial legal advice. Ashton at the time combined this with his position as a trustee of a local charitable incorporation organisation to develop his passion and focus for ensuring the community in Colchester continues to prosper and continues its progressive growth.
Having been located in Essex for many years, Ashton has a particular affinity with the area, with a particular focus and interest in its expanding economy, new business start-ups, and small to medium enterprises in Essex and its surrounding areas, including London. Ashton also takes a keen interest in already well-established businesses, working on several projects focused on ensuring such businesses continue to grow and expand, diversify or otherwise adjust to ensure their business, profitability, and prosperity remain buoyant.
Ashton is recognised in the 2020 edition of Legal 500 where he is named as a ‘Next Generation Partner'. He is described as ‘helpful, available and diligent in his approach' and ‘always willing to help find the right way forward in any situation.'

Bev joined Fisher Jones Greenwood Solicitors in March 2021. Bev is a Personal Assistant to Ellen Petersen, Head of the Corporate and Commercial Property Team in Colchester.
Before joining the firm, Bev previously worked in the City of London within corporate, M&A and banking law sectors for 25 years.
Outside of work Bev enjoys walking her two dogs and being out in the countryside.
Billy Smith is a Solicitor and joined our Dispute Resolution team in 2020. Billy completed his law degree at the University of Essex and graduated in 2011. After completing the LPC, Billy completed his training contract at an Essex-based law firm and qualified as a Solicitor in 2016.
Billy advises on various contentious civil and commercial matters, including property and construction disputes, contentious probate matters, cohabitee disputes, debt recovery, negligence-related matters, partnership, director and shareholder disputes, TOLATA claims, and other general commercial litigation. Billy also practises employment law for businesses and for individuals and is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA).
Billy worked with great professionalism and in a very helpful and friendly manner. He kept me updated at all times and I was very appreciative of all the work he put into my case. His commitment was second to none and he achieved an excellent result on my behalf.

Carlie Brown has over 15 years of experience within the legal profession and was admitted as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2015.
Carlie specialises in the drafting of Wills, Administration of Estates, Power of Attorney, and non-contentious Probate matters. Carlie is based in our Holland-on-Sea offices.
Carlie prides herself on building a great relationship with her clients where she is always approachable and easy to talk to.

Charlotte Knappett is a Partner and Head of Family at FJG.
She is a specialist in many areas including divorce, finances arising from divorce, private law children matters, child abduction, special guardianship, domestic abuse, and fertility law.
Charlotte has also conducted International Child Abduction cases, representing clients in the Royal Courts of Justice.
She is a keen and experienced court advocate, and collaborative lawyer, as such she is able to tailor her services to meet the needs of her clients and the circumstances of their case.
During her time at Fisher Jones Greenwood, she has trained many members of the family team and enjoys encouraging personal development. Her love of the law (and being sociable) extends to her role as the current President of the Mid Essex Law Society.

Claire Martin joined the firm in May 2013 after qualifying as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2007 at her previous firm in London, where she worked for 16 years. Claire became an Associate of the firm in May 2021.
Claire specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing including sales and purchases, transfers of equity, and remortgage work. In particular, Claire enjoys working with her elderly clients and assisting them with a wide range of property matters including Equity Release Mortgages.

Clare Earley has been with the firm since 2002. She heads the accounts team.
Her main role is to ensure the compliance of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and office policies within the accounts department across both the office and the client accounts and to seek and implement new systems as and when they are required.
Clare prepares management reports for both internal and external sources. She manages the payroll and is responsible for the administration of the workplace pension ensuring compliance with the Pensions regulator as well as dealing with the building society panel administration.
Deanne Riddleston is Chief Cashier has been with the firm since 2001.
She has over 30 years' experience in legal accounts and leads a small accounts team. In her role, Deanne always maintains a high standard of compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and specialises in both client and office account.

Donna Duca has been with the firm for over a decade now having started in January 2002. After completing her training with the firm, she qualified as a licensed conveyancer in March 2011.
Donna is very knowledgeable and specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing. She has built up a loyal clientele with a reputation for a good and fast service.
Donna specialises in residential conveyancing including sales and purchases, matrimonial conveyancing, remortgaging, Transfer of Equity and buy to let.
Donna was incredibly professional, efficient and helpful.
