Abigail is a Solicitor in Newtons' Dispute Resolution Team Abigail is an Assistant Solicitor within the Litigation Department at Newtons. She has experience in many aspects of litigation, with her main focus being all types of Contentious Probate Actions which includes claims about the validity and construction of wills and trusts as well as Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 claims, removal of executors and trustees, and contentious estate and trust administrations and rectification of Wills. As part of Newtons solicitor development programme, Abigail is currently completing the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialist Course with the University of Law to expand her knowledge and gain a specialist qualification in this niche area of Litigation. As well as the above, Abigail has experience in dealing with a wide variety of Commercial and Civil Litigation matters and assists the Head of the Litigation team, David Birks, on his more complex and high value matters.

Chris is Managing Director of Newtons Solicitors which he established in 2009 and is instrumental in its growth and direction. Chris divides his time between management of the business and looking after a small number of clients, who he helps to manage disputes or advise generally on matters that are causing them concern. Whilst managing the business becomes more time demanding as it continues to grow, Chris values the relationships that he has built with clients over the last 20 years and is reluctant to stop practicing law completely. On the management side, Chris chairs the Strategic Board and also relies heavily on the directors and operations management team, as well as a number of trusted external advisors.
