Dr Melanie Naughton is our general and accounts manager and handles the day-to-day operations of the firm. She is responsible for docketing and monitoring deadlines, attending to certain clerical matters before various Patent Offices and renewal fee payments, amongst other things. She is a shareholder in the company and oversees the company's finances. She joined Hutchinson IP in 2012 and works part-time.
Jane Hawkins (nee Rawcliffe) works part-time as the company's accounts manager. She handles the firm's bookkeeping & budgeting, she processes incoming and outgoing invoices, and keeps track of currency transactions.
Tom Hutchinson is a UK & European Patent & Design Attorney, and is the Director of Hutchinson IP Ltd. He has an engineering background, having obtained a 1st class Masters Degree in Materials Engineering from Liverpool University in 1999. He specialises in mechanical, electrical and engineering work, and has established himself as a specialist in medical devices, green technology, materials engineering, manufacturing and automotive patents.
