At Dame Alice Owen's we offer GCSE Business (Edexcel) and A Level Business (Edexcel) . Details of each course follows... We have a distinguished history. Dame Alice Owen founded our school in 1613 in Islington; initially a boys' school, followed by the addition of a girls' school in 1886 and becoming co-educational after the move to our present site in 1973. Her legacy, through the Brewers Company, is still felt throughout our school today... Changing schools is a big step for any student to take and we do not underestimate how daunting this can be. We have a range of ways to ensure that new students settle in well, starting with our summer induction days after GCSE exams and extending right into Year 13. We believe that by choosing to take the important step of moving school, you are not only opting to take a degree of responsibility for your own learning but also ‘bridging the gap' between school and university.
