Galemire Vets is located on the western edge of the English Lake District on the outskirts of Cleator Moor, an ex-mining community. Travelling East from Whitehaven, the nearest big town, Galemire is found by travelling past Whitehaven swimming baths then dropping down to Keekle and taking the road signposted Moor Row; Galemire is found approx 0.4 miles from Keekle on the left hand side of the road ... Galemire Vets was originally established in 1966 as a General Mixed but mainly Large Animal Practice based in a Victorian built Human Infectious Diseases Hospital. All of the work performed by the practice is now of a Small Animal nature...
