The Slough & Windsor Railway Society was formed in 1983 with the aim of securing the long-term future of the Slough to Windsor branch line. Fortunately, British Rail did not close the line and the SWRS has moved on to other things... SWRS members will be on hand to answer your questions about the Society, our model railway club, and "Slough Estates No.3", our steam locomotive that used to work on the Slough Trading Estate railway... To raise money to keep No. 3 in steam and to publicise the Society we have a sales stand which we take to local events. Our magazine "The Triangle" is published four times a year to keep members up-to-date with Society activities.
