I realised that I enjoyed writing, as well as the science behind it, and I subsequently became a medical writer in a contract research organisation. After a number of years developing the medical writing services of the company, I became the medical writing manager and trained a team of writers. I subsequently held a senior medical writing position in a major international pharmaceutical company, with responsibility for key documents.
