Harry Gration

Remembering our much loved Patron, Harry Gration MBE who sadly passed away in June 2022. Harry was a fantastic Ambassador for Paces and was much loved across the Yorkshire region and beyond. In his own words, he was ‘thrilled' to have been asked to join our team and it was a real honour when he accepted. In 2019, Harry compered our very successful Charity Ball and has helped with various fundraising events during his time in the Paces family. We will remember him with fond memories.

Harry Withers

Harry moved to Sheffield in 2017 to study at university earning a bachelors degree in psychology and a masters degree in education. Since then he has benefitted from attending Paces' sessional services, having participated in conductive education sessions across the UK and in Hungary for 20 years prior. Now working in a communications role promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, Harry has been a school governor at Paces since January 2020, became a charity ambassador in March 2021 and has joined the Trustee board in April 2022. When not working Harry enjoys travelling and keeping active by playing wheelchair basketball. Harry first became involved with Paces in September 2017 when he started attending our Adult Sessional group. He has Cerebral Palsy and is studying a bachelor's degree at the University of Sheffield, and he is also a governor at Paces School. Conductive Education has played a huge role in Harry's life and this is one of the many reasons why he wanted to become an Ambassador. "I have benefited from Conductive Education throughout my whole life since first attending the Petö Institute in Budapest in September 1997. I have experienced the great benefits of Conductive Education for so long and so many opportunities are now available to me due to my increased mobility. This is in no doubt due to the continued input of the support I received.
