Our experience leads us to promote the idea that independent accommodation enterprises work best as part of a collective group, rather than as isolated units in direct competition with one another. This is not a new idea: there are Hospitality Associations in popular tourist destinations which have existed for over 80 years... The internet has provided an opportunity for serviced accommodation providers to communicate with one another, share information and help one another in a way that has never been possible before.
