For over 170 years, The Guildford Institute has been working for and with the local community. We have been based in our beautiful Grade II listed building since 1891. The building originally opened in 1880 as the Royal Arms Coffee Tavern and Temperance Hotel... The Guildford Institute has remained on the same site in the centre of Guildford for over one hundred and twenty-five years, inspiring, delighting and uniting people in the local area... The Guildford Institute programme includes activities such as courses, talks events. We also have a vegetarian café and historic Library Archive.
