CLEAR VISION DIRECT - Key Persons
I set up the business in 2005 and have seen our customer base increase from zero to several thousand. Previously, I have worked in Banking and was a fully qualified financial consultant. I was prompted to move into the Optics world having spent a number of years doing charity work in Romania providing free spectacles to those less fortunate than ourselves. I have lived locally for 30 years, served as Chair of Governors at a lower school, deacon at the Biggleswade Baptist Church and currently run a "Keep Fit for Oldies" at the Church on a Thursday evening, which is free and open to anyone.
I qualified as an Optometrist in 1990 and I am registered with the General Optical Council. I am a member of the Association of Optometrists and a member of the British College of Optometrists. I have been involved with Clear Vision Direct since 2006. As the primary Optometrist here, my role is to perform sight tests and ensure a high level of eye care. I am accredited with Moorfields Eye Hospital (Bedford) Shared Care Scheme to provide pre and post cataract assessments. I moved to Biggleswade in 1994 and since having my children I have become involved with various community projects. I am currently an active member of the Central Bedfordshire Swim Squad and have helped organise and run several swimming galas and swim camps.

I joined Clear Vision Direct in 2012 initially providing holiday cover and am now a permanent member of the team. I also work at City University where I supervise and mentor final year Optometry students while they are gaining clinical experience. In my spare time, I enjoy outdoor sports such as hiking and skiing and hope to add mini triathlons to my repertoire.

In 1997 I moved to Biggleswade to bring up my family, having previously working for a large Life Assurance company in Peterborough. When my youngest child went to school full time, I was given the opportunity to join Clear Vision Direct, a small, friendly local business on a part time basis. Working for them gave me the chance to put both my administrative and people skills to good use. I have been here since January 2007 and thoroughly enjoy working in such a friendly environment and take pride in providing a high quality of customer care. In my spare time, I love to go camping and have even managed to convince some of my friends to join in the fun.
