Job Titles:
- Scientific Account Executive
Alana has a PhD in Biomedical Science from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, where she developed tests to study immune responses in patients with rheumatic fever and COVID-19. As a postdoctoral scientist at the University of Auckland, she continued research into unravelling the mysteries of the immune system in patients with Strep A disease. She has worked across teams of academic researchers and industry professionals on many clinical, diagnostic and vaccine development projects. From her research, she has published articles and has spoken at many conferences where she honed her scientific communication skills. At Random42, Alana provides scientific support across a range of therapeutic areas. Outside of work she enjoys travelling, learning to surf, dancing and finding good cafes.
Alesya joined Random42 as a Financial Controller. She has previous experience as a lawyer and completed her degree in Sheffield before moving back to her home city, Moscow, where she made the move from legal to the fashion industry. Whilst making the most of the fancy fashion, Alesya qualified as an accountant which has brought her back to the UK and to Random42 where she is able to utilise her background in both legal and finance. Outside of work, Alesya likes hiking, keeping fit and going to fashion events (5 years in the fashion industry made its mark). She is also a huge ice hockey fan
Alex graduated from Bournemouth University after completing a degree in Computer Animation Technical Arts, during which he developed varied but sharp skills in 3D animation. His love for problem-solving and technical art led him to join Random42 as a Junior CG Generalist, where he has a hand in a variety of different projects and computer graphics disciplines. Outside of work, Alex enjoys reading, writing, hiking, and film screenings on the South Bank.

Ana graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in Biomedical sciences. After graduating, Ana lived and worked in St Anton, Austria, for a season before gaining experience in marketing and client management. Ana joins Random42 from the conference industry, where she was a Conference Producer and Manager for life science events. Here at Random42, Ana manages projects internally between both our science and production teams, as well as externally with clients. Outside of work, you will find Ana in the gym, exploring the world, getting lost in a book, attending a rugby match (supporting Wales!), or doing something that involves food. No matter what she is doing she will be listening to music.

- Mid Motion Graphics Designer
Ana has worked as an in-house graphic designer and as a freelancer for the past two years, with experience mostly in print design, recently focusing more on motion graphics. Ana's role at Random42 includes designing 2D assets for production and marketing. During her spare time, she likes to play games, watch films, and read books. Ana also studies astronomy/astrophysics part-time, as that's one of her biggest passions other than design.

As an international student from Indonesia, Veda graduated from the University of Hertfordshire, where she earned her BA specialising as a VFX Animator and producing short films focusing on character and creature animation. Her time and work at university have led her to become an artist at Random42. The journey to 3D started from a love of drawing at a young age that she keeps up with in her spare time. In addition to that, Veda enjoys playing music, singing, and going outdoors.
Andreas graduated from Cyprus University of Technology, where he studied Multimedia and Graphic Arts. He moved to London on the night of his graduation ceremony back in 2015 and has lived there ever since. His interests include watching series, such as, Game of Thrones or the Walking Dead, as well as drawing or walking around with his camera taking pictures, and exploring London.
Andy is the CFO at Random42 and takes a very hands-on approach, not only in finance but also across several operational departments in the business. He has a broad financial background, including technical accounting, financial analysis and reporting, commercial finance and strategic planning.
Andy has worked in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry for a number of years, previously having worked at Marken, a UPS subsidiary, in central and commercial finance leadership roles. Prior to this, Andy spent almost 6 years at PwC, working with clients from their London and Vancouver offices.
In his spare time, Andy enjoys lots of exercise and spending time with family & friends.
Anthony is from Hong Kong and graduated from the Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology in the Department of Multimedia and Entertainment Science (M.D.), bachelor's in Game Arts. He has three years of experience in application development in Hong Kong. He came to London in May 2022 for the first time and joined the R42 family. His hobbies include watching movies and studying 3D-related tutorials to improve his skills.
Antonia graduated from UCL after completing a degree in Psychology. In her last year of study, she researched the neural substrates of developmental stuttering using a multimodal neuroimaging design combining EEG and fNIRS. After graduation, Antonia supported the management for multiple BigPharma and BioTech trials while working in a leading global clinical trial laboratory services company. At Random42, Antonia collaborates with science and production teams to deliver projects while acting as the main point of contact for clients. Outside of work, Antonia loves hiking, travelling, and music.

After graduating from high school as a graphic designer Antonio learned about 3D thanks to a friend who was practicing it. Antonio then started studying it by himself, watching videos and online lessons. His passion for 3D grew and he wanted to pursue it as a job. This led Antonio to move to London where he started working for Random42 where he is expanding his experiences with the help of his colleagues. Antonio's other interests are playing video games, watching movies, listening to music, and Breakdance.
Since graduating from the University of Kent with a degree in Biology, Aran has gained experience in various client-facing roles, the most recent in account management for a commercial learning & development agency within Pharma. As an Account Manager at Random42, Aran focuses on managing existing relationships within the top 30 global pharmaceutical companies as well as identifying new relationships. Aran loves his sport, in particular, his football and tennis. Outside of sport, he loves trying out new restaurants and travelling.
Arianne graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Human Biology. After graduating, Arianne undertook a role in a children's critical care ward at a large London teaching hospital and worked several customer-facing positions before joining Random42. As an Account Executive, Arianne's role involves liaising with new and existing clients within the top 25-50 pharmaceutical companies and adjacent markets, such as devices and diagnostics, animal health, and consumer health. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with friends.

After completing her BSc in Biochemistry and an MSc in Neuroscience and translational medicine, Beatriz was awarded a PhD in Ophthalmology for her research in modelling and drug development for inherited corneal dystrophies. Her experience in academic research extends beyond her PhD, and she has worked in stem cell-based disease model development for a diversity of inherited ocular conditions. In parallel to her science career, Beatriz has trained in Musical Theatre and worked as a director and choreographer. At Random42, she is part of the science team and will be merging her scientific knowledge and creativity to develop scripts and storyboard designs for medical videos. Outside of work, you will find her happy while exercising, reading, and exploring new restaurants.
Ben is a PhD molecular and cell biologist who has experience both within the pharmaceutical industry and within the publishing industry that serves it. He joined Random42 in 2010, first as the Medical Director, before moving into the position of CEO in 2014. Prior to his time at Random42, he was a medical writer, as well as a research scientist for AstraZeneca and The University of Glasgow.
Benas studied Computer Science at the University of Westminster. Before joining Random42, he had experience in maintaining systems and programming and being the champion of Azeroth, the fictional Warcraft world. Benas brings this experience and passion to his new role as a Junior Systems Administrator, where he is responsible for the planning, building, and maintenance of all the systems and data at Random42. Outside of work, Benas enjoys playing and watching competitive team sports, as well as playing games and travelling on the central line in the summertime.
Brad graduated from Middlesex University with a degree in Computer Science, taking a keen interest in graphics programming and interactive projects. He worked previously in a start-up and has developed for the full stack, from the API to the Unity client. At Random42 as a Mid Unity Developer, Brad will be helping bring stories to life with the Interactive department. His hobbies include going to the local board game club, finding fun new experiences in London, and always planning a trip somewhere.
Bradley graduated from Sheffield Hallam University, gaining both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Games Design. In the final year of his Bachelor's degree, he reached the finals in the games art category for the Games Republic 2020 Student Showcase. Bradley has a wide interest in all things 3D, which has led him to create in multiple industries, whether that be creating games, making virtual galleries, or animating assets. Bradley brings this passion and enthusiasm to Random42 in the role of Senior 3D Generalist, tasked with merging art and science to create beautiful and impactful work. In his spare time, you'll find Bradley exploring the countryside, learning a new line dance, jamming in Beat Sabre, or getting stuck into a video game.
Growing up as a kid, Brandon played many video games and watched animated films which drove his passion for CGI. He began his jump into learning 3D modelling and animation at The University of Hertfordshire and has been developing his skills in his favourite parts of the pipeline ever since - 3D Modelling, Texturing, LookDev, and Compositing. His role at Random42 is to integrate the science and CGI worlds, creating beautiful animations and imagery. Outside of work Brandon loves to play basketball, travel to new places to create memories, experience new restaurants, play video games, and watch films.
Cara joins Random42 as HR Director with 8 years' varied HR experience across industries such as Financial Services, Telecoms and Engineering. Cara is CIPD Level 5 qualified and enjoys working as an HR Generalist because of the variety it offers and being able to provide an end to end HR service working with internal and external stakeholders. Outside of work, Cara spends most of her free time with her one year old or working on her house renovation. To relax she enjoys reading, catching up with friends and travelling both in the UK and abroad.

Catherine completed an Integrated Masters in Biochemistry at the University of York, which included experience working in research labs investigating immunology and infection. Following her undergraduate course, Catherine stayed at the University of York, where she undertook a PhD in Chemical Biology. Her PhD project combined the fields of structural biology, parasitology, and epigenetics to investigate novel treatments for parasitic disease. At Random42, Catherine is part of the science team, where she supports projects across a range of therapeutic areas. Outside of work, Catherine likes exploring London with friends to find all the best cafes and bookshops.
Charlotte graduated from the University of Birmingham after completing her degree in Psychology. Before joining Random42, Charlotte worked in various customer-facing roles and has volunteered as a mental health support worker and a developmental psychology research assistant. As a Senior Account Executive at Random42, Charlotte's role involves liaising with new and existing clients from the top 30 global pharmaceutical companies, helping to scope out new digital content to bring our client's scientific storytelling to life. Outside work, she enjoys travelling, going to the gym, and spending time with friends.
Chris, a Mid 3D Generalist, spent most of his childhood drawing comic strips and designing strange characters. This creative interest led him to the University of Portsmouth, where he studied Computer Animation and Visual Effects, throughout which he spent a lot of his time as a 3D character and creature artist before transitioning towards environment design and lighting in the latter part of his third year. His background lies in 3D modelling, texturing, and look dev, however, he enjoys all parts of the pipeline, as it allows him to absorb as much knowledge and experience as possible. When he's not creating 3D artwork, Chris is a passionate musician; he has spent much of his life going to gigs, as well as writing and performing his own music.

Before joining Random42, Connor worked as an Account Executive in the client services team of a fast-paced, boutique medical communications agency, specialising in web development, print materials, and the management of events such as scientific symposia and congresses. Within his role as a Associate Project Manager at Random42, Connor is collaborating on the planning and execution of a variety of projects including animations, virtual reality, and interactive pieces. Outside of work, he enjoys swimming, kayaking, reading, watching football, socialising with friends, and walks in the Kent countryside.
Connor has always been inspired by Art, from primary through to secondary, followed by studying graphic design and illustration in college and then finally the big move to Staffordshire Uni to study 3D animation and VFX. In his spare time Connor loves spending quality time with family, friends and work colleagues, venturing to new places and being from Cornwall, obviously enjoys a good pasty. Connor also likes, trampolining which he discovered at University, along with exercising, scenic walks and of course relaxing with a good pc/console game at the end of the day.
Dan graduated from Staffordshire University with a first in CGI & Digital Effects. Ever since a young age, he has been aspiring to work in the animation industry, creating many personal projects in his spare time. Dan also loves any new technology including virtual reality and 3D printing. Away from the computer he enjoys hiking in the countryside and exploring new places.
Since completing his Masters in Computer Science David has worked as a VR developer building interactive games and applications. Previously he worked as a web and IT consultant helping businesses adopt new technologies. He joined our interactive team to helps us create new and exciting AR and VR experiences. His hobbies include hiking, cycling, gaming and creating his own personal AR and VR projects.
Di grew up in Shanghai and came to the UK to study computer animation when she was 20. After she graduated from NCCA at Bournemouth University and achieved an MA degree in 3D Animation and a BA degree in Computer Visualisation Animation. Di previously worked as a 3D generalist and 3D motion designer in the CGI industry in Beijing, China. Outside of work, she loves to go to theatres and museums and go hiking and skiing in the wild.
