Albert Taylor

Job Titles:
  • Assistant Project Manager
Albert joined Fusion in January 2022 as an Assistant Project Manager, having recently completed a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Reading. During Albert's time at Fusion, he has been involved in the project management of several HE projects ranging in value from £70k up to £4m. Albert has shown himself to be an effective communicator, with the ability to form and maintain strong working relationships with all project stakeholders. He is driven to achieving success as part of a team and will go above-and-beyond to ensure his projects are successfully delivered. In September 2022, Albert began studying towards an MSc in Construction Project Management alongside working with Fusion, with a long-term vision of becoming RICS qualified. Outside of working, Albert enjoys listening to music, watching football and seeing friends, as well as going for walks along the seafront.

Andrew Chauvin

Andrew is a Chartered Surveyor and qualified Project Manager with over 30 years' experience in the construction and property industry. His experience has involved working in the commercial property, housing, health, regeneration, education and local government sectors. He has undertaken a variety of roles including: cost management, project management, development management, technical advisory and consultancy commissions. These roles have varied from one off facilitation sessions to advising on and managing the delivery of large-scale complex procurements, involving partnering and PFI arrangements, for both the public and private sectors.

Ben Houghton

Ben has recently joined Fusion as an Assistant Project Manager, after graduating from the University of East Anglia with a degree in Business Management. He is currently working in one of Fusion's Project Management teams, providing support on a range of Further Education projects in and around London. Ben is looking forward to gaining experience and developing his skills whilst working on a variety of projects in the Education sector. Outside of work Ben enjoys staying active and is also a keen footballer.

Charlene Pearman

Job Titles:
  • Member of the Association of Project Management
Charlene has a master's degree in project management and a bachelor's degree in Genetics. She started her project management career with Fusion and is assisting on a range of construction projects in the education sector within London's Tri-borough area. Charlene is a member of the Association of Project Management and is working towards her RICS accreditation.

Chris Wrench

Job Titles:
  • Chartered Member of the RICS
Chris has been responsible for the implementation of new build and refurbishment projects ranging in value up to £32m, including complex inner-city developments. Chris is a Chartered Member of the RICS and has a BSc in Construction Consultancy Management from Greenwich University. As an Associate Director, Chris has over 12 years of experience delivering strategic and construction project management services across a range of clients.

Chrissy Bench

Job Titles:
  • Office Administrator
  • Office Administrator in Chelmsford
Chrissy is the office administrator in Chelmsford having joined Fusion in November 2021. Chrissy is here to mainly support Sarah the Office Manager with her role. Chrissy started her career working for organisations including NatWest & James Capel, before taking time out to raise part of her family. She returned to work joining Essex County Council, where she worked until she extended her family. After returning to work, Chrissy worked at Club Woodham and Essex Cricket before recently joining Fusion.

Dan Powell

Dan has over 15 years' experience in the construction industry. He started his career in a PQS role and went on to join a main contractor as their lead Quantity surveyor. Dan is now an Associate Director of Quantity Surveying for Fusion. Dan's approach is to embed himself within the client's team to not only act as the projects Quantity Surveyor but to become part of the overall team to ensure all works are fully designed in line with the selected procurement route and the risk moving forward for the client is mitigated. Dan has a vast experience within the construction sectors of both new build and refurbishment. His main areas of expertise are within Education and Healthcare. Dan has also delivered a vast range of commercial and residential project from early feasibility through to project completion.

Danielle Denwood

  • Contract & Bid Manager
Danielle joined Fusion at the end of February as the Contract and Bid Manager, this is a new role within the company but with 20 years' experience of being a merchandiser her skillset is unique. Danielle is organised and has the ability to identify problems and resolve them in a timely manner. Having built strong, lasting relationships over the years, Danielle is capable of liaising with multiple individuals/clients/suppliers to pull all of the information together, whilst keeping a level head, and meeting the deadline. Outside of work Danielle enjoys spending time with her family and friends and being a mum to two young girls, as well as going to the gym when she has the time.

Dean Grundy

Job Titles:
  • Quantity Surveyor
Dean has been a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry for more than 20 years and has experience in a range of sectors that include Energy, Transport, Education and Commercial projects.

Felicity Fuller

Felicity studied at the University of Portsmouth, achieving a degree accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. Subsequently, Felicity has worked in project management since 2011. Throughout Felicity's career, she has been involved in detailed roles for all main areas of the design and construction process, specialising in construction project management in both the private residential and education sectors, delivering capital projects from inception to occupation. As a technical individual, her meticulous approach to project planning also ensures that all critical activities are noted, monitored and actioned. In Felicity's time at Fusion she has proven experience in the delivery of a multi phased redevelopment up to the value of the £63m, including student accommodation and teaching new build structures. Helping to secure a strong working relationship with the client and contractor. Felicity has also been responsible for the delivery of an £11m new build SEN school, funded by the Department for Education, but self-delivered by Local Authority. Felicity's skills in stakeholder management have been key to the successful delivery of this project. Felicity is currently expanding her knowledge base by enrolling at Anglia Ruskin University to study an MSc in Construction Project Management, accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Haydn Good

Job Titles:

Haydn joined Fusion in September 2021, as an Assistant Project Manager, having graduated from University of East Anglia (UEA), where he studied a BA in Geography. Haydn is currently developing his knowledge, working alongside colleagues in one of Fusion's Project Management teams, assisting on various Further Education schemes, including New Hall School and Oakwood House. Haydn is looking forward to gaining experience and developing his skills in project management, whilst working on a variety of projects in the Education sector. Outside of work, Haydn enjoys staying active and is a keen swimmer and footballer.

Jack Hammond

Job Titles:
  • Project Manager
Jack joined Fusion in February 2019 as an Assistant Project Manager, coming from a background in Construction Project Management where he worked on small residential developments and commercial fit-out projects. During Jack's time at Fusion he has helped with the project management of several complex FE and HE projects. Jack is able to quickly establish strong working relationships with our clients and other members of the wider project team with emphasis on understanding and fulfilling each client's aspirations. Following the recent completion of a BSc Access Course with the University of Estates Management, Jack is continuing to expand his knowledge with his progression towards a degree in Construction Project Management. Whilst not at work, Jack enjoys watching and playing football, keeping fit and spending time with his family.

Joe Ayling

Joe joined Fusion in February 2020 as an Assistant Project Manager, having completed an Undergraduate Degree in Leadership and Management. Joe is currently developing his project management skills working alongside colleagues on a range projects for Higher Education and Further Education Clients. Joe's previous experience and educational background means he is already experienced in building collaborative relationships with colleagues and clients alike. Joe enjoys getting to know clients in order to understand their key objectives and then working with the project team to help to deliver them.

John Hurley

John joined Fusion as an Associate Director in the Quantity Surveying team in 2021. Having gained experience working as an Estimator for a principal contractor, he then moved into Quantity Surveying, specialising in interior fit-outs and refurbishments for public and private sector clients. He has since worked in Senior QS roles working on premium housing developments in London, and a range of public sector schemes. John's professional, positive and personable approach has led to successful delivery of projects for a large portfolio of clients. Outside work, John enjoys watching and playing sport, and holidaying abroad.

Lauren Pryor

Job Titles:
  • Senior Project Manager
Lauren has been with Fusion since 2015, joining as an Assistant Project Manager before working her way up to becoming a PM herself. Having previously worked for a supplier in the construction industry, Lauren has experience working on both the client and contractor side of a project team. Since joining Fusion, Lauren has worked on a range of refurbishment and new build projects ranging up to a value of £11m in the education, commercial, residential and healthcare sectors. Alongside her project work, she has also achieved her certification in RICS Construction Project Management Instance 2. Lauren's approach is to fully commit herself to the project and to be organised and thorough to ensure that all actions are recorded, tracked and closed. This has allowed her to create a reputation with her clients as a dedicated and reliable Project Manager.

Luke Ridgwell

Luke joined Fusion as a graduate in 2015 and has benefitted from Fusion's commitment to training and developing new talent. During his time at Fusion Luke has obtained a masters degree in Construction Management and qualified as a Chartered Project Management Surveyor. Luke has experience of new build and refurbishment projects of varying sizes across a number of sectors including education, residential, healthcare & aviation. Luke is well-versed in administering both NEC and JCT forms of contract and has completed a number of projects to BIM Level 2. Luke has also been involved in a number of projects involving multiple stakeholders and complex legal arrangements including development finance, sale and leasebacks and agreements to lease with works. Outside of work Luke enjoys watching and playing sport and is a keen runner and triathlete.

Marilyn Cornwell

Marilyn is a highly motivated and experienced Programme Manager who has successfully managed multi-faceted and complex projects for over 15 years. Her background is primarily within the local authority housing sector delivering major refurbishment projects between £2M - £47M per annum.

Martyn Fletcher

Job Titles:

Martyn joined Fusion PM in early 2020 as an Associate Director in the Project Management team. Martyn has over 21 years of experience in the construction sector in both client-facing and operational roles. He has been involved in both private and public sector fit-out and construction projects with large corporations and SME's with values ranging up to £60m. With a focus on strategic client and stakeholder engagement as well as business development, Martyn's forte is developing existing and building new relationships as well as pushing into new markets and sectors. With a dual role of work winning and delivery, Martyn aims to help drive Fusion's growth along with the rest of the team. Outside of work, Martyn enjoys spending time with his wife and two children traveling and exploring the countryside and is a keen (if somewhat average) squash player.

Matthew Hirst

Matthew is a much respected Chartered Surveyor with over 20 years' experience in property consultancy. Matthew started his career by originally studying Town and Country Planning at University before completing a post graduate degree in Property Development and Planning.

Megan Baker

Megan joined Fusion in 2018, coming from a background in Quantity Surveying focused on civil engineering and the instalment of telecommunication/ emergency service networks for a Tier 2 contractor. Megan has her BSc in Quantity Surveying and also a HNC in Construction and the Built Environment. Megan has obtained her AssocRICS and is working towards obtaining MRICS. As part of Megan's role at Fusion, her focus and drive is to deliver education projects on budget, at a competitive cost and to an excellent standard for her clients. Megan prides herself on her versatility from working on refurbishments/ fit outs to a multi phased site wide development with an overall value of £63m. Her role also extends to Contract Administrator and ensuring JCT/ NEC contracts are correctly executed and managed during the project. When Megan's not wearing her QS or CA hat, you'll find her adventuring outdoors be it bike riding or paddle boarding.

Nolan Smith

Nolan originally trained as an agency surveyor and studied a BSc in general practice surveying. Nolan has worked within the UK construction industry since 1997. Nolan is a founding director of Fusion Project Management Ltd, after being a director of a large PLC firm. Nolan's key experience is within strategic and construction project management having worked on schemes of over £100 million in value. Nolan has worked within all sectors including education, health, commercial and residential. Nolan's approach is hands on, and likes to secure long term client relationships that put the client at the centre of the service, working with some clients for the whole of his career. A particular specialism is in the delivery of complex estates strategies which often focus on maximising the value of capital assets and securing capital funding.

Rebecca de Lobel

Rebecca joined Fusion as an Assistant Project Manager in January 2020, having previously studied Architecture at University. Prior to joining Fusion, Rebecca was a qualified Teacher of Engineering, specialising in teaching Post-16 courses.

Richard Smith

Job Titles:

Richard has over 20 years' experience in the Construction industry, working in both the private and public sectors. Having worked as a Building Surveyor and a Construction Director, Richard has a unique set of skills that give him the capability of managing particularly complex and challenging projects. His detailed knowledge of the construction process enables him to quickly understand problems and identify solutions, enabling him to offer genuine added value for his clients. Richard has a significant portfolio that demonstrates his experience in delivering very complex projects within time, cost, and quality parameters and acting as a technical advisor to many clients. Richard has worked on a variety of projects providing both at a strategic level and at construction site level including the provision of technical advisor services. He has worked closely with multiple clients, design teams, and contractors in order to establish and develop project briefs, detailed designs and deliver onsite construction.

Sam Davis

Sam joined Fusion in 2021 having previously worked for a principal contractor for five years in a dual role as quantity surveyor and project manager. Sam has a wide experience of refurbishment projects across residential and healthcare sectors, including extensive work on framework contracts for two of the largest sheltered housing and care home providers in the UK. Sam completed a Master's Degree in Quantity Surveying to hone his knowledge of the industry. Before working in construction, he was a qualified secondary school teacher. In his spare time, Sam enjoys running, science fiction and working on cars.

Sarah Middleton

Job Titles:
  • Office Manager
Sarah is the office manager in Chelmsford having joined Fusion in 2006. Originally part time her value in supporting the project managers soon extended her role to being full time. Sarah started her career working for organisations including Allied Lyons, James Capel, John Lewis and Reed recruitment before taking time out to raise a family. She returned to work in childcare before joining Fusion in its first year of trading. During her longevity at Fusion she has built strong relationships with many of the valued clients. She is an integral part of the Fusion team. Sarah enjoys chocolate.

Scott Barson

Scott has over 30 years' experience in construction and project management and has significant experience of the HE environment, including working as an Interim Director of Estates and Facilities for a multi-campus University. In addition, he has also delivered complex projects up to £100m in other sectors including education, leisure, rail, commercial, residential, local and central government. His professionalism and focus on understanding his client's needs and developing solutions to meet their expectations is key to winning the confidence of the clients he works with.

Stuart Markham

Stuart originally studied for a BSc in Construction Business Management, subsequently becoming a member of the Association of Project Management. He is now a Director of Project Management and has 20 years' experience of acting as strategic and construction project manager. Stuart's approach is to immerse himself in each commission, taking ownership and responsibility, securing long term client relationships that put the client at the centre of the service, working with some clients for the whole of his career. Stuart has been responsible for the implementation of an extensive portfolio of new build and refurbishment construction projects ranging in value up to £100M. A particular specialism is providing advice to public sector client's and helping them define and deliver complex estates strategies which often focus on maximising the value of capital assets and investment and securing capital funding.

Usha Kiri

Usha has over 30 years' experience in administrating, processing and controlling internal accounts, developing a portfolio of clients in sectors ranging from Construction to Digital Advertising. Skilled in a range of accounts packages including Sage Line 50 Payroll, Xero, Iris, and Exchequer, Usha provides the accounting expertise needed to support Fusion's business operations Usha's hands on approach comes from her years of experience running businesses with her partner, initially running a local store and later building their franchise of Athena stores and two Tanning Shops, located across East Anglia.

Vicky Hempel

Job Titles:

Vicky has spent 15 years within the public sector. She relocated to Surrey nearly 10 years ago and has worked in Further Education for most of this time. She understands the constraints and processes associated with both Public Sector and Further Education. Vicky studied for an HNC in Construction & the Built Environment. Vicky has worked within Curriculum and Estates allowing her to appreciate the importance of both of their key drivers, in turn this enables her to fully recognise the client's needs from an operational and teaching perspective. She is fully committed to every client, building a strong rapport for a long-term working relationship. Vicky has worked on a variety of projects; these range from re-allocating teaching spaces to demolition, refurbishments and new builds. Having acted as the client Vicky is able to understand the value of involving key stakeholders whilst ensuring this meets the overall brief and Estates Strategy.

William Bedwell
