CYMRU 1 LIMITED - Key Persons

Alison Raouf grew up in Manchester, where she gained a degree in German. After graduating, she spent some time working for various companies in the Manchester area, but eventually moved to London, where she met Faris. They married in 1997, and now live near Porthmadog. Alison has a natural flair for languages, and so although she has only been learning for a short time, she already has an excellent knowledge of Welsh.

Faris Raouf was born in Bangor, and spent the majority of his childhood in the Porthmadog area. He has a degree in Physics with Computing, and spent all of his working life involved in the computer industry, mainly as a technical journalist working as a senior editor or contributor to well-known computer magazines such as PC Direct, PC Magazine, IT Week, PC Advisor, PC Explorer, PC Utilities and Linux Magazine. As a result he has unparalleled knowledge of the industry, and its movers and shakers, something he puts to good use as a Director of Cymru 1.
