Having been associated with the school through her daughter Mollie, who attended until the age of 19 and now enjoys attending the Leisure & Skills Centre and The Hub, Alison wanted to give something back to the organisation that provided so much support. Alison's background is in accountancy, recently retiring from her position as Assistant Director of Finance at Christ Church University. During her career she has also managed Human Resources and Payroll. Alison is Vice Chair of Governors.
Before retiring, Andrew was a Managing Consultant at Old Mutual plc and Finance Director at Bakkavör Group plc. He has a wealth of experience as both a Governor and a Trustee in a local SEN school and college.
Charles is the great grandson of our founder, Dame Grace Kimmins. He specialises in all areas of commercial law. Charles was called to the bar in 1994 and, since then, he has practiced at 20 Essex Street.

Denise is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst. Most recently, Denise was a Director and Board Chief Operating Officer for McGill and Partners in the City, a boutique specialist (re)insurance broker. Prior to that, she was a main board Director for an international underwriting business. She has now retired from full-time executive life.
Denise is the Treasurer of Finance, Audit & Risk Committee.
Emma joined Chailey Heritage as a teacher in 2008 and was appointed as Deputy Head in June 2024.
Prior to teaching at Chailey, Emma worked in a mainstream school as an Early Years teacher and managed the onsite nursery here at Chailey Heritage, which supported both mainstream children and children with complex needs.
Within her role as Deputy Head, Emma leads school admissions and is the school lead on medicine safety.

Fiona joined the Foundation in 2002 to work with the Bursar, initially part time whilst her three children were young. She then took on the role of Company Secretary to the Board of Trustees and leads on governance for the charity. Fiona also heads up the Comms & Marketing team and oversees the team of Volunteers.
Before coming into the charity world, Fiona worked in the City of London for Baring Asset Management, managing their client-facing department.

Helen is a retired Consultant in Perioperative Medicine and Consultant Anaesthetist. For 5 years, Helen was a Governor at Hazel Court Special School, Eastbourne. She is a member of the Parent Advisory Committee for Sparks Charity.

Lucinda is the great granddaughter of our Founder, Dame Grace Kimmins. During her childhood, she spent many happy times with the children at Chailey Heritage. Lucinda now works in London but endeavours to keep a close family connection.

Mark is a Chartered Surveyor, having most recently been Deputy Managing Director and Head of European Valuation at an International Property Consultancy based in London. Mark is Chair of Trustees.

Mike joined the Foundation in July 2024 and is responsible for Finance, Procurement, Estates, H&S, IT and Data Protection.
He has been working in the public and charity sectors for the last 20 years, predominantly in HM Prison Service and wider Ministry of Justice, in senior strategic finance business partnering roles. Prior to joining the Foundation he was the Finance Director for Orchard Hill College Academy Trust (OHCAT) which comprised 13 special schools and 1 alternative provision.
Mike enjoys running, playing golf badly and reading and more recently has started piano lessons to try and inspire his young sons to do the same (the latter part is still a work in progress…).

Neil is Chief Executive of H/Advisors Maitland, Europe's leading financial, corporate and political communications consultancy. Before starting his career as a consultant, he was City and Business Editor of the Sunday Telegraph and Deputy Business Editor of The Times.
Neil is Chair of the Development Committee.

Richard joined Chailey Heritage School in 2014 as the Deputy Headteacher before being appointed as Headteacher in January 2024.
Prior to Chailey Heritage, Richard worked in a main stream secondary school as an Assistant Headteacher for Pastoral Care and Inclusion, which included being SENCO for the main school and heading up a smaller orbital school for young people with behavioural challenges.
Since joining Chailey Heritage School, Richard has been one of the Foundation's Designated Safeguarding Leads and is a member of the East Sussex Safeguarding Children Partnership.
