John Foulger

John Foulger was an established landscape and seascape painter, specializing in oils and acrylics. Before becoming a professional artist he was employed by a firm of art dealers in London. The artist held numerous successful one-man exhibitions in Surrey and Sussex since 1969. He was an exhibitor at the Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Society of Marine Artists, New English Arts Club, National Society of Painters, Sculptors and Printmakers and United Society of Artists. He was a member of many art societies including the Federation of British Artists and elected Associate of the Moseley Arts Society. His works were also shown at Syon House, The Mall Galleries, London, Brighton Museum and Art Gallery, Towner Art Gallery, Eastbourne Bishop's Palace, Chichester Cathedral and Dedham Centre. His Retrospective Exhibition held in Littlehampton Museum in 1984 was shown on television. John won various prizes and awards at exhibitions, including the Robert Lindsey Prize 1997. John's paintings are now to be found in galleries and private collections in London, Vienna, The Hague, Montreal, California, New Orleans and elsewhere in Europe and America and in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
