Senior Consultant since 2018. CFIOSH. Alison has been working in the health and safety profession for close to 40 years, and has particularly strong health, psychology and organisational behaviour insight. Experienced in broadcasting, hospitality and events, she has extensive appreciation of the challenges of creative safety, the trials of working with the public in their various states and needs, and the distortion of behaviour under pressure. An accomplished coach, with a Masters in business administration, she ably supports trainees to identify key challenges and opportunities, and commit to immediate and cumulative improvements.
Edna joined the team just over 3 years ago. Edna has a wealth of experience in accounts, and a multitude of degrees to her name. She has worked abroad but has come back to the UK to settle down. She is great fun in the office but has a stern side but is loveable. However, she is camera shy and so our company pooch has taken Edna's place in our gallery of whose who.
Heather is the latest addition to S A Associates. Heather and looks after the tricky business of keeping the trainers on track and the spreadsheets in order with her expert knowledge. Watch this space for further developments to the team
Karen Wardle is an experienced consultant who has been working in Health and Safety for over 20 years, split between two industries; television and chemical manufacturing. Karen has worked with SA Associates for several years now delivering IOSH Managing Safely and IOSH Managing Events and Exhibitions courses whilst continuing to support Production Companies on recces, on set support and providing general advice on working during the Covid-19 pandemic. Karen has worked hard to ensure the online and classroom delivery of her courses continues to be energetic, inclusive and tailored to the client's needs. Her courses mix up plenty of real life experiences and background to ensure a thoroughly enjoyable course. Recently delivered the IOSH E&E course to a well know social media company across the UK, India and America.
Lucienne first came to S. A. Associates from Germany as an undergraduate, since then she assisted the administration team on and off until finishing her degree in October 2011. She joined S. A. Associates on the 1st November 2011 and has taken on the challenging role as training coordinator for companies such as NATS and Mencap.
Senior Trainer. Nick joined S. A. Associates in 2008. Based in our Durham office, Nick graduated to be an RGN Nurse before he developed his role as a specialist trainer in health & social care.
Senior Management Trainer - worked with S. A. Associates since 2003. Nigel is an experienced and professional business consultant specialising in learning and development, business performance improvement and change. He has considerable experience in changing the thinking and mindsets of business managers and leaders ranging from SME' to large multinational corporations. Nigel is a member of the Institute of Leadership & Management, a tutor and examiner for the Chartered Institute of Management.
Pete Tibbins (Forklift Truck Instructor) started his career in the forklift training industry in 2003. His calm, approachable manner makes learning, not only enjoyable but also relaxing, the perfect recipe for success, even with the most nervous of candidates.
Sandra joined S. A. Associates from London Mint in 2011. Sandra states that ‘having worked in customer service for many years, working across a variety of industries, I realise that customer service is an integral part of any business. Our customers drive our organisation's bottom line like never before and I believe that by delivering an honest and competitive service we create and retain loyal customers in this very competitive world.' Sandra has gravitated to the Frontline of our business having successfully passed her NEBOSH and other industry reconised qualifications and now delivering a suite of training programs nationally within the Healthcare sector.
Senior Management Trainer - worked with S.A. Associates for 9 years. Sophie specialises in learning and development. Sophie has a first class record in helping businesses achieve outstanding results through the efforts of their own people and brings a creative, yet realistic but practical approach to the pursuit and achievement of business excellence.
Sue Allum (Director) established S. A. Associates Management Training (SAA) in 1995 and has developed it into one of UK's largest independent training providers. Sue specialises in providing business to business contracts (of all sizes) which consist of training courses focusing on the principles of workplace health & safety, first aid, fire, management, and environmental training. Sue manages over 27 full time trainers and over 15 associates UK wide and is the driving force behind the growth and development of the business.
