Daniel Bale

Job Titles:
  • Warehouse Manager
Dan has worked for Airflow for a number of years, initially starting as a picker/assembler to then heading an assembling team for a product we designed for a customer. His task was to not only build the product specifically to the customers requirements but also to oversee the team doing so, testing the products and over seeing the packing and dispatch. Dan took over the Warehouse Managers position and works closely with Lionel to implement procedures and overseeing packing and assembly of products and dispatching them to customer requirements.

Debbie Day

Job Titles:
  • Sales Office Manager
Debbie oversees the Airflow Sales Office. She is focused on making sure any queries and orders are dealt with in a friendly manner, whilst maintaining a good rapport with our customer base.

Gordon Baldery

Job Titles:
  • Head Engineer / Setter
Gordon started with Airflow as a Machine Operator, understanding the machines performances, he moved swiftly on to a Shift Manager then to Assistant Engineer and took over his current role on the retirement of the previous Head Engineer. Gordon works with several staff working to a plan and putting up tools to produce products, making sure that the quality matches our master products on all production runs, as head engineer Gordon understands the tools and machines and is responsible for their upkeep.

Lionel Huish - Managing Director

Lionel has worked with Airflow for over 40 years, running the company himself since 1985. He started in the family business when it was just a 2 man band, working with his father to start with, importing ventilation products and developing them for the UK Market. Lionel took over in 1985 on the death of his father and started to develop his own range of products starting with the first 5" core vent in the market to allow 100cm² of free air for British Gas. He then went onto develop a full range of products for the building industry always with the Easy fit concept at hand. Lionel continues with the day to day running, having a hands-on approach and works closely with the team at the same time working on product development for either in house or to meet the customers requirements. "We have been accused of being too personal but our approach is to work with people, befriend them and gain their confidence and trust in producing the product they require and deliver to their expectations." Says Lionel. Lionel is married with 6 children, one of which is Tom who works in the company as Production Director, as well as his wife, Lucy, who runs the accounts.

Lucy Huish

Job Titles:
  • Accounts Manager
Lucy is Lionel's wife, she has to wear many hats and not only looks after the day to day running of the accounts department, maintaining payments and queries, but also heads up our HR department and works closely with Tom to oversee company recruitment. Lucy's background is mainly within the insurance industry.

Robynn Holloway-Evans

Robynn has recently changed roles within the Airflow team. Previously our Sales Office Manager, Robynn is now focused on developing new relationships with potential customers and works alongside our Sales Representatives/Agents to ensure customer contact is maintained and that company representation is continued.

Thomas Huish

Job Titles:
  • Production Director
Tom is Lionel's son, however this does not mean he has an easy position within Airflow. Tom has had to work hard starting on the shop floor before moving on to working on the machines themselves. Understanding the quality required, he progressed onto be Assistant Setter in the company, which he took to very quickly. Tom's CAD experience has recently meant that he has expanded his role by assisting Lionel in product development, understanding restrictions to moulding and coming up with innovative results. Tom has taken on the responsibility of Health and Safety as well as maintaining this through the company. With the knowledge of all the differing areas it is natural that Tom oversees the general production being able to turn his hand to most tasks, which gives him a sound understanding to the best performance to complete most jobs.
