The practice was established in Winchester in 1955, it evolved to Robert Adam Architects in 2000 and in 2010 the practice name was changed to ADAM Architecture to recognise the individual design profiles of the Directors. Over the last 30 years, the firm has progressed from strength to strength, cultivating its profile to its current national and international level, and establishing a solid client base across the UK and overseas. After 44 years with the firm, Robert Adam stepped down as a Director in 2020 in order to pursue his own independent and academic interests.
