Bede House is a local Southwark charity, with the flexibility to respond to our area's changing needs. Government statistics show that some of our neighbourhoods are among the 10% most deprived in Britain. We therefore strive to offer a wide range of support. Since 1938, we've been working to unlock new possibilities for young and old to live fuller lives. Our services are delivered through four programmes addressing specific needs... Bede House serves as a communications centre during World War II. One of the few local places with a phone, it plays a vital role when Bermondsey and Rotherhithe suffer heavy bombing... A leading Southwark charity since 1938. Bede House creates new opportunities for young people, individuals with learning disabilities and those experiencing domestic abuse.
