Courtney and Walker are a family run company now in the third generation. The history of the firm dates back to 1936 when Madam Courtney opened an accordian shop in Portsmouth called 'Courtney's Accordions'... In 1947 Wilfred Walker joined the company as co-teacher and in 1952 entered into the company and Courtney and Walker was formed. For many years we were a specialist accordion firm, selling, repairing and teaching accordion. Madam Courtney also had an accordion band. After this, under Jeff Walker (2nd generation) and later his sons Paul Walker and Martin Walker, the firm took a direction as a general music shop and became one of the largest and best known in the area... Established in 1936. We specialise in new and reconditioned instruments, offer a wide range of accessories, repairs and restoration. All our instruments are set up and adjusted to a very high standard.
