Andrew Hemmings

Andrew began his coaching career in 2016 when he was Head Coach of the South West U11's and followed on to become the local U15 Head Coach while also serving as player coach with NIHL2's Guildford Phoenix from 17-18 through 21-22. He has been on hand for an NIHL2 South West championship in 19-20 and a Treble last season as South league, cup and playoff champions. In recent EIHL years, Hemmings has acted with Flames as an on ice training coach. As a player, Andrew iced the bulk of his career at Spectrum and closed with the club as one of just 10 players to ice in 500 or more games, totalling 529 starts while recording 66 goals and 175 points over 11 seasons after his top team debut in 2003. While in Flames gear, he helped with 8 trophies between 2006 and 2016 when the club took home 3 EPIHL League titles, 3 cup titles and a pair of playoff crowns. Between opening and his final stint with Flames in 2017, he also iced with Bracknell Bees and Basingstoke Bison from 2007-2011.

The 22-23 season saw the Flames winningest coach of all time close in on 600 wins, posting a 2 nd place Elite League finish while pausing his career on 581 successful results. He arrived as a player in time for the 1999-2000 campaign and began serving as both player and Head Coach in 2007-2008 when he helped take the team to the English Premier League summit. Since that time, the Flames have gone on to collect the 2009-2010 Premier Cup, the 2011 Playoff crown, Back to Back League and Cup captures between 2011 and 2013, the 2015-2016 "Double" with the Cup and Playoff titles ahead of the 2018-2019 Elite League Patton Conference crown. As a former player, Paul is the all-time club leader in games played with 928 and he is 4 th on the club's historical scoring charts with 113 goals, 500 assists and 613 points.
