Since joining Gloucestershire College as Chief Financial Officer and Vice Principal in 2014, Andy Bates has driven a number of high profile projects. These include introducing a business partner model to improve financial visibility throughout the organisation and Gloucestershire College's Institute of Technology bid consequently securing £3 million of funding for outstanding new cyber and engineering facilities.
Andy is responsible for leading the financial strategy, employer training and all commercial activities across Gloucestershire College's three campuses in Cheltenham, Gloucester and The Forest of Dean.

He Ben has lived and worked in Gloucestershire since 2003.

Brendan is a Director at Rappor who has worked in both the public and private sector since 2000. During this time, Brendan has gained a considerable breadth of experience in highway and transportation planning having successfully managed a wide range of development planning projects across a number of sectors, ranging from large scale residential schemes through to retail/commercial development, mixed use city centre regeneration projects and new school provision.

David is a development professional within a local authority setting. Having qualified back in the last century with an MA in Town and Country Planning he briefly practiced planning but moved swiftly into regeneration and economic development. He has spent his career within 6 local authorities across South Wales and the South West of England and is now City Growth and Delivery Manager at Gloucester City Council where he manages the Planning, Heritage, Strategic Housing, and Economic Development services. He works closely with the other local authorities in Gloucestershire on strategic planning and economic growth matters. David believes strongly in working collaboratively with the development industry to deliver investment. By respecting each other's strengths, weaknesses and drivers we can deliver successful schemes that achieve profitability for the industry alongside improving the places and communities that we all live in.

David is the Associate Partner for Ward Williams Associates and has over 25 years of experience within the Construction Industry, on a range of projects in the Retail, Heritage, Education, Healthcare and Commercial Sectors.
His considerable experience covers a full range of Project Management , Employers Agent, Quantity Surveying and Contract Administrators duties, providing clients with advise on initial budgeting, cost planning, Contract Procurement, Tender Documentation and Post Contract Management, with projects varying in size and value from small house extensions to large scale Retail Village developments.

Polly has been Director of Business Engagement and Partnerships at the University of Gloucestershire since 2017, where she has lead on Knowledge Exchange and the development of a substantial portfolio of degree apprenticeship programmes. Prior to that she was Head of Executive Education at Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. Polly is a passionate advocate for higher education, work based learning and degree apprenticeships. She has been involved with in-company programmes . Jenny is the Finance Director and co-owner of McLoughlin Planning Ltd, an independent planning consultancy with its head office in Cheltenham. Jenny trained as a chartered accountant with KPMG, working in audit, before moving into commerce and various voluntary roles including finance governor at a local school.
Construction has always been part of Jenny's life, many of her family members work in construction and her husband is a town planner. She enjoys being part of the constructing excellence committee, meeting the interesting members and using her accountancy knowledge to help.
Jonathan, Senior Associate and part of the Senior Management Team at Quattro Design Architects. He works within the Education and Commercial Team successfully delivering a varied range of schemes from new build to refurbishment. He has developed considerable experience in the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and is keen to promote its value and maximise its benefits to clients and developers.
He sees his role as Chair of Constructing Excellence Gloucestershire as being part respected platform for industry improvement which aims to deliver excellence for clients, industry and users through collaborative working.

Katie Pickering is a Solicitor at Michelmores LLP specialising in Construction and Engineering law. She has over 15 years legal experience, many of those in construction. Katie has worked across residential developments, healthcare sectors and the leisure industry on a number of projects throughout the UK. She has experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Katie enjoys being part of the CEGlos Committee, the club's connection with the local construction industry and their events, helps provide invaluable hands on experience of the sector that cannot be obtained in her usual desk-based role of a Solicitor. She is also a Committee Member for the G4C South West which aims to be the voice of the young professional in the UK built environment industry.

As Managing Director at Bamboo Technology Group, Kevin has a clear understanding of the importance of good communications and IT infrastructure in construction. Natalie is the Growth & Partnership Director at AccXel, the Construction Skills Accelerator Centre, due for completion of construction in November 2021. AccXel is the first industry led construction education facility in the UK and is co-funded by GFirst LEP and K W Bell Group Ltd.
Having worked in both house-building and construction at National and Regional companies, Natalie has first-hand knowledge of the skills and resourcing challenges facing the construction industry, and how these challenges can be addressed through a sustained and cohesive approach between industry and education

Nathan McLoughlin is the Managing Director and founder of McLoughlin Planning. He is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. He has worked in both public and private sectors, amassing over 20 years of experience of managing complex development projects and delivering planning permission and allocations in Local Plans. He has also acted as expert witness, representing clients at planning appeals at Informal Hearings and Public Inquiries.
Since founding McLoughlin Planning in 2009, he has successfully delivered many residential development projects throughout Gloucestershire and beyond. He has also actively participated on Local Plan examinations on behalf of developer clients and public sector bodies. In terms of other forms of development, he is working a number of commercial developments as well as education projects with the new secondary school in Cheltenham and Gloucester. Away from residential projects, he has also been involved in the complex area of airport development working with Gloucestershire Airport (amongst others).

Nikki brings with her a wealth of experience in building business relationships, therefore is well known within the local business community and loves to organise events aswell as supporting local charities. Nikki joined CEGlos in 2022 as a member then was asked to step in as Club Secretary since Feb 23, she is enjoying working with the committee and getting to know more about the Construction Industry, whilst organising the events and encouraging new members!

Peter is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Head of Project Consultancy at Evans Jones with over 30 years' experience within the Property and Construction Industry, working on numerous projects in the Public and Private sector ranging from minor schemes to multi-million-pound schemes in the Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Education, Leisure, and Transport Markets.
Sam is part of the fourth generation of the Carter family to work within the business. Sam began his career in 2012 as a Management Trainee and soon progressed into a Contracts Manager. Sam is now responsible for the management of our Major Construction Team. Sam is responsible for the Major Construction Team's delivery of projects within the Education, Healthcare, Commercial and Industrial sectors. Sam is also a Charted Builder.

Tyrone is a Pre-construction Manager at Kier Construction. He has 22 years of management experience within the construction industry in managing various construction and refurbishment projects in sectors including education, commercial, residential, mixed use and healthcare.
His early years as a Site Engineer then in management has given him a good insight and understanding into how to build excellent working relationships with clients, consultants, supply chain and colleagues. This development route has also enabled him to understand fully the technical and practical issues that are applicable to most building projects.

Will is the Commercial Manager and part of the Senior Management Team at Barnwood Limited. He has a strong background in quantity surveying and commercial management, with a particular focus on design and build contracts, value engineering, cashflow forecasting, and cost management. Will works closely with design teams identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering; together with our supply chain partners procuring materials and services for projects, negotiating prices and ensuring that contracts are managed effectively.
