CHRISTCHURCH CLARENDON PARK

Christchurch is an ecumenical church with its roots in the Baptist and Methodist traditions. We aim to be inclusive, non-judgmental and supportive of everyone who finds a home with us and warm and welcoming to anyone who comes to visit. There is a wide range of ages and backgrounds in the church and our worship and activities are diverse and varied. Services take on a wide variety of forms, from the hymn-sandwich to café-style. The premises are used during the week for both church activities and by the local community... The local Baptist and Methodist churches on Clarendon Park Road joined together in the early 1990's to form what is now Christchurch (technically this is called a Local Ecumenical Partnership, or LEP). In our worship and governance we try to draw on the best of both traditions. We are a part of the Leicester Trinity Circuit of the Methodist Church and are affiliated to the Baptist Union.
