CRACK IT

We offer services to other organisations. This includes our peer review and advice service, provided to funders to help ensure that the 3Rs are fully embedded in the proposals that they receive for research using dogs, cats, horses, pigs or non-human primates. We also employ regional staff to help "on the ground" by supporting researchers, animal care staff and vets in universities to adopt 3Rs approaches. The regional staff roles are co-funded by university consortia... We support innovation in the 3Rs through our CRACK IT Challenges funding competition. This connects big business with small and medium-sized enterprises and academic researchers to develop 3Rs approaches that can be commercialised into products and services... We collaborate with scientists and organisations from across the life sciences sector, nationally and internationally, including universities, the pharmaceutical, chemical and consumer products industries, other research funders, and regulatory authorities.
