We are a very active society, with over 1,000 enthusiastic family historians, based in Gloucester, the surrounding area and across the UK as well as worldwide. Gloucestershire Family History Society has reportedly the best Family History Centre in the country and the society is over 40 years old, having been established in 1979... We aim to give members many opportunities to interact with the Society, its volunteers and fellow members, Most months of the year, there are talks online from a wide range of fascinating speakers, arnd we are again expanding events at the Family History Centre and collaborating twith Gloucestershire Archive and other partners at The Heritage Hub... Our Family History Centre at the Heritage Hub offers a library, other resources, access to online resources and knowledgable volunteers to help you with your research. You are welcome to visit and it is very helpful if you book a time to come.
