ABA Pisco

ABA Pisco is a prized Chilean creation which is produced using a double distillation method in copper pot stills. Perfect for Chile's favourite Pisco Sour cocktail, ABA utilises the fresh, juicy grapes of the Muscat variety, grown in the Chilean Andes. Crystal clear and exceptionally flavoured, ABA Pisco offers the taste of jasmine flowers, sweet honey and tangerine creating a flavour which is soft on the palate and syrupy sweet. Pisco is a potent colourless grape brandy that's produced in Peru and Chile who both claim to be the original producers of the liqueur. It's made from grapes grown in designated regions of Peru and Chile which are fermented into wine which is then distilled and briefly aged. It's the core ingredient of the popular pisco sour cocktail.

Allen Daly

Allen is Head Honcho and has been with the shop for nearly 30 years. He's seen more booze brands come and go than most of us have had hot dinners and is responsible for all things Gerry's. Being Michael's original apprentice and manager of Gerry's there really isn't much he doesn't know about booze.

Amaro Averna

A distinctive Italian liqueur made from soaking fruit rind, herbs and other ingredients in its base spirit before adding caramel for sweetness. Amaro Averna has a distinctive orange flavour and includes over 33 different herbs including cinnamon and gentian. It can be enjoyed on its own or with a range of mixers including cola and tonic water. The recipe and method of production hasn't changed in 1868 so each measure of Amaro Averna has a piece of history within.

Amaro Del Capo

Made at the Caffo distillery in Italy to an old family recipe, the Vecchio Amaro Del Capo is a richly aromatic liqueur featuring 29 different Calabrian herbs and roots. This finely-tuned blend results in a liqueur full of earthy, wonderfully bitter flavours (part of which comes from the quinine in the recipe). Enjoy it chilled after dinner to make the most of this classic amaro.

Amaro Ramazzotti

From doctors to drinks cabinets, Amaro Ramazzotti began life as an herbal tonic liqueur, crafted with care by an Italian herbal doctor. A complex mix of spices including gentian root, cinnamon and Sicilian orange peel are combined to create the recognisable flavours of this century-old tonic. The orange peel provides the overwhelming flavour Amaro Ramazzotti is known for and it can be enjoyed as an aperitif as well as with mixers and in cocktails.

Basil Hayden Bourbon

Created in 1796 by Basil Hayden, who went against the grain (no pun intended) by adding in rye into the traditional corn-based mashbill. It was a huge hit and today is one of Jim Beam's 'Small Batch' range of bourbons.

Bollinger Grande Anee

Bollinger La Grande Annee is much more than a simple vintage. It is the interpretation of an outstanding grape harvest, which resulted in a wine worthy of continuing the tradition of the Maison's prestigious great vintages. During these special years, grapes from Grands and Premiers Crus are vinified and the blend reveals a beautiful harmony that embodies the intuition felt at the moment of the grape harvest.

Buffalo Trace Bourbon

Buffalo Trace offer a wide range of exciting bourbons and their classic Kentucky straight Buffalo Trace is one of the most famous. Intense with velvety vanilla, warming spices and oaky barrel char, each sip of Buffalo Trace is a real pleasure. Its aroma is rich like a box of toffees, with notes of chocolate éclair, cinnamon and rum spice. On the palate brown sugar comes through strongly with toffee depth and the spicy cinnamon heat also coming through. A classic Kentucky bourbon you can sip again and again.

Campari Bitters

Champagne Gruet

House Gruet has been in Champagne since 1670. The winery has been passed on from generation to generation, finding fulfilment in 1975 with the launch of the first wines by Claude Gruet. He started producing 2500 bottles in 1975. He is currently working on a 20-hectares vineyard, producing from its own grapes and those of other producer they select, to produce around 2 million bottles a year in total. The Brut offers a crisp, and full-bodied sparkling wine, which has developed rich complexity and fine mousse. The allure of toasty finish from twenty-four months on tirage, is a complement to the sophisticated apple and citrus flavour. Winemaker's Note: Brilliant with ultra fine bubbles. A wonderful fine bouquet dominated by green apple and grapefruit flavours. A truly classic house style!

Clase Azul Plata

An unbelievably good Reposado tequila, made from Organic agaves which are grown for over 9 years before slow cooking in traditional ovens. The fermentation is done using the company's secret blend of yeasts, and then comes distillation followed by triple filtration. It is aged in very fine oak barrels, and is bottled in these tall, handsome decanters which are hand-painted and numbered by local artisans. Clase Azul's incredible Reposado has been awarded Gold medals by the Beverage Testing Institute and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Clase Azul is an ultra premium Tequila, made from 100% long aged and traditionally roasted agave and packaged in a traditional Talavera style decanter.

Don Julio Blanco

Don Julio Anejo 1942 spends up to two and half year ageing, nearly enough to be classed as extra anejo. It's stilled in a single pot still and has the wonderful spiced aromas of cinnamon, sweet agave, vanilla and interesting Turkish delight. The taste is deep with cinder toffee notes, the continual flavour of the agave and bursts of sweet, zesty citrus. Dry and nutty the finish is long with notes of smoke. With a fresh agave expression and citrus notes, this tequila is called upon often when concocting innovative cocktails and the ultimate margarita, but is also perfect on its own or on the rocks. This Blanco was given a 'Classic' rating in Wine Enthusiast Magazine's review of the top spirits of 2007

Elijah Craig

The replacement for the hugely popular Elijah Craig 12 Year Old, this no age statement bourbon is created from spirit aged between eight and 12 years old. Notes of nuts, vanilla, coconut, dark fruit and caramel.

Fernet Branca

Try this with one with Pepsi. Same taste as Fernet Branca but with a much more intense peppermint feel that really settles the digestion. Try it with Coke! Gonzalez Byass Matusalem

Gonzales Byass Matusalem Oloroso has been aged for over three decades and sweetened with additional Pedro Ximenez, delivering a deep and intense flavour you won't be able to help yourself from drinking. Toffee, walnut and dried fruit come through in the nose and the flavour follows the same route, with oaky dryness adding additional depth to the overall experience. Gonzalez Sherry

Sherry is a spanish fortified wine made with white grapes, primarily the Palomino grape, grown near the town of Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia. Due to the fermentation and fortification processes involved in making sherry, most are initially dry and the sweetness is later added.

We all love Gordon's, whether we're fans of Ramsay or not. The world's most popular gin and a perennial bestseller, Gordon's has a flavour which has come to epitomise quality gin. Juniper-led with peppery spice and sweet lemon zest following closely. Hennessy XO

Hennessy XO was created by Maurice Hennessy himself 1870 and was initially reserved for the maker and his friends only, a mark of its excellence. Rich and robust, Hennessy XO has a deeper amber colour than your regular cognac, due to its long maturation process and the hand-selected barrels used during this. Around 100 eaux de vide work together to create the rounded, bold flavour which is characterised by rich black pepper, a touch of spice and dry and candied fruit.

High West

What did one rye say to the other in a bottle of High West Double Rye!? "This whiskey sure is big enough for the both of us!" High West Double Rye! is made by blending two very distinct rye whiskies together, a lively 2-year-old and a sweeter 16-year-old that was made with a higher proportion of corn. It's the kind of idea that makes everyone in the saloon stop and stare, including the old fella playing piano in the corner.

Jack Daniels

ottled in Bond whiskeys have to be aged for a minimum of 4 years, and bottled at a 100 proof (50% abv). Jack Daniel's bottled in bond is 80% corn, 12% Rye, and 8% barley. Fermented using their own house yeast, and aged in their own barrels, coopered in house to their specifications. Lots of caramel notes, rich oak and spice. How do you drink your Jack? Hardly in need of an introduction, Jack Daniel's exceptional sippin' whisky is one of Tennessee's finest exports. It's exceptional and unparalleled flavour is down to the traditional methods used in its distillation and filtration through super maple charcoal helps ensure the smooth, mellow flavour is both rounded and enticing. Notes of chocolate orange, charcoal and a woody hint satisfyingly linger long after that final sip.

Jack Daniels Apple

Jack Daniel's Tennessee Apple is a delicious, complex Jack. It delivers the unique character of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey coupled with the taste of crisp, green apple. Jack Daniels Tennessee

Jack Daniel's Triple Mash is a combination of 20% Jack Daniel's World Famous Maple Charcoal Mellowed Tennessee Whiskey, 60% Jack Daniel's Rye Whiskey and 20% Jack Daniel's American Malt Whiskey (they make malt whiskey too!). A dram with honey, malty notes and balanced soft oak notes, Jack Daniel's shows some of the intriguing whiskeys they make in their renowned distillery. They make all their barrels fully in house to be contructed and toasted to their specifications, all their whiskey is aged in Lynchburg Tennessee, and the yeast in the fermentation process is cultivated from their first post prohibition yeast, all the way back in 1938. Great to find out that one of the most well known drinks in the world is made in a geeky way, similar to what would be considered 'craft' (scaled up quite a bit).

Jim Beam White

Do you want to do a deal with the devil? When it involves the super tempting taste of Jim Beam you know it will be hard to say no. 90 proof Jim Beam Bourbon and exceptional oak cask notes blend together to deliver an intensely woody drink which has sharp spicy notes alongside classic vanilla. Jose Cuervo Silver

One of the newer offerings from the famous Jose Cuervo range, Jose Cuervo Reserva da le Familia Blanco is an exceptional new silver tequila. Limited edition, hand signed, hand dipped and corked, each bottle of Reserva Blanco is highly sought after and it's easy to see why. The strength of quality agave comes through in the nose, closely followed by charred vegetables and hints at linseed oil. The flavour keeps the vegetable notes alive but teams them with fresh pear and of course the sweetness of agave. Pepper only comes through towards the end but it strong and satisfying. Jose Cuervo Silver 1800 is a 100% agave tequila which rests in ex-American whisky casks and benefits from the depths of both the oak and the whiskey flavours coming through. Chargrilled vegetables and celery notes come through in the nose which then leads into a flavour which allows the agave to take centre stage. Light and delicate, the agave is surrounded by the smokiness of the vegetable flavours and a light peppering of spice. Herbaceous and rounded to the final sip. La Chica Silver (House) La Chica Silver Tequila which originates from Mexico is a very pure and smooth tequila. It is produced traditionally from distilled cactus juice that produces a spirit of 38%abv. La Chica Silver Tequila is great to sip and savour or ideal as a shooter, in a Margarita or other cocktails.

Martell Cordon Bleu

Martell Cordon Bleu is a distinguished cognac which marries together the flavours of a number of different eaux de vie from the Borderies region. Created in 1912 it is deep golden copper in colour and has strong aromas of orchard fruits, plummy warmth, cinnamon, vetiver and toasted almonds. The flavour is simple and mellow with a long and fruit-filled finish coupled with light spices and a hint of honey.

Martell XO

Encapsulating the spirit of Martell and the deep, refined brilliant of a good XO, Martell XO is a leader in its cognac category. Martini Bitters

Gerry's founder. Michael opened the shop in 1985 and hasn't looked back since. He is an encyclopaedia of knowledge on Wines and Spirits and an absolute West End Legend.

Patron Gran

One of the premium offerings from the famous Patron tequila distillery, Gran Patron Platinum uses the finest blue agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco. Triple distilled and then rested for a short time in oak tanks, Gran Patron Platinum is wonderfully smooth and full-bodied. The nose is full of that fresh agave teamed with citrus and fresh fruit and the flavour follows suit with the agave taking centre stage, citrus and fruit following on. Its finish is long and spiced with white pepper.

Patron Silver

Young and sprightly, Patron Silver is the youngest of their tequilas and its flavour reflects its youth. Clear in colour and rich with fruity aromas, particularly citrus, Patron Silver is refreshing and has a smooth sweetness about it. Soft and light the flavour is peppered with hints of citrus with natural agave taking centre stage. Light peppery notes hit on the finish adding some welcome bite to the end note.

Remy Martin

Remy Martin VSOP Mature Cask benefits from a precise maturation process which involves placing the eaux de vie in specially selected Limousin oak casks that are more than 20 years old. These casks allow the fruity notes of the blend to be enhanced further and it's a wonderful cognac which can be enjoyed over ice or as a key flavour in a sophisticated cocktail. Apricot and peach take centre stage with notes of rose and sweet vanilla following after. An enticing combination of both Petite and Grande Champagne cognacs, Remy Martin XO is a fine and smooth drink which has a unique and unparalleled velvety texture. Its long and lingering flavour is rich on the palate yet it begins on a light note with delicate iris and jasmine fragrances. Once sipped a burst of ripe fig, juicy prunes and a hit of citrus. Rose d'Anjou Pierre

A modern, easy drinking rose made from a blend of Regent, (60%), Dornfelder, (35%), Rondo (5%). Spangly pink grapefruit in the glass, red fruit nose, tasting of mandarin, strawberries, pomegranate, bright acidity, a characterful English rose.

Sauza Tres Gene Plata

Sauza Tres Generaciones Plata is an estate grown 100% agave silver tequila which has been produced using a triple distillation process ensuring the ultimate smoothness and purity of this crisp and refreshing drink. Its aroma is subtle, with only slight hints at the flavours within, eucalyptus the most prominent of the bunch. The flavour is brighter with spicy white pepper notes and a little light agave, the pepper really standing out above all else.

Vince Hopwood

Vince is Allen's partner-in-crime and has been at Gerry's for around about the same sort of time. He's responsible for all things aesthetic and internet-orientated and works closely with Allen on selecting new, weird and wonderful products for the shop. His love of red wine is relentless as is his passion for collecting spirits from around the globe with reptiles inside them.
